Though Shah Rukh Khan has yet to start doing the rounds to publicize his latest Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, the actor was spotted in Mumbai doing his bit as a brand ambassador for a leading car company. The actor did more than just say the usual practised lines as he went on to donate a car for charity at the event. He sure holds the key to success. Be it Bollywood or brand endorsements, King Khan, who’s been out of sight for quite a while now showed up to gift a car to an NGO in a bid to celebrate the motor company’s fastest Rs 20 lakh roll out.

Shah Rukh Khan says, “People call me ambassador, face of the brands, that’s from the outside, Hyundai is family to me, we have grown together.” In these times of recession, SRK isn’t really worried about whether the masses can really afford the products he endorses. Abhishek Bachchan has done something which even Srk would think twice before doing. The junior Bachchan has declined to do a Yash Raj project. This project in question was the Rani Mukherjee - Shahid Kapoor starrer which has cricket as the underlying theme. Our source revealed, “Abhishek was offered a small but significant role in the Yash Raj banner project the shooting for which has already begun now. He had earlier done a cameo in their Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) so it was taken for granted that he would say yes.

But Abhishek left everyone surprised by turning down the role citing date clashes. But the real reason was he didn’t want to repeat the Laaga Chunari Mein Daag mistake of doing a small role where he has nothing much to do. His career has taken a severe beating with the Drona debacle and he cannot afford any more mistakes now. Like LCMD, this film doesn’t even pair him up with Rani so he took the safe route out of dates excuse rather than offending the Chopras. The makers are now in a desperate lookout for a top star who would be willing to star in their film as the next schedule begins in January.” Source

But she has confirmed that whoever he is she will get married in the next two years.

Talking to a news daily on the marriage question, Priyanka said, “Man proposes, God disposes. I’m still not mentally prepared for it. But yes, I will, of course, marry someone in the next two years. I have time on my hands as I’m still quite young.”

Speaking about her man whom she has tick marked, she said, “I don’t have anyone to name. My career is topping my priority list. Thankfully, I’m getting good work and I want to do some good work. My career is going great and marriage does not fit in right now.” Source

After four flops in a row — Saawariya, God Tussi Great Ho, Hello and Heroes — all’s not well with Salman Khan.

The buzz in the film trade is that producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series has asked Khan for a cut in the price which was committed to him earlier. Reportedly, Khan was signed for a solo-hero movie to be directed by Anees Bazmee for a whopping Rs 60 crore.

But following the recession, Kumar is now willing to pay Khan only one- third the amount, Rs 20 crore. On his part, Khan has yet to decide whether to agree to the reduced price or opt out of the movie. The film was supposed to go on the floors in August 2009 but the lead actress is yet to be finalised.

Prior to this, Ramesh Taurani too put on hold his plans to remake Amar Akbar Anthony with the Khan brothers, Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail. The comic caper was to be directed by David Dhawan. Reportedly, Khan had asked for Rs 50 crore as his remuneration. Source

Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, which is being shot in the dense forests in Kerala, remains a closely guarded secret till date. The ace director is apprehensive that the stills of Raavan would find its way to the newspapers just as Endhiran’s photographs did.

How does Mani manage to keep away paparazzi? According to the sources close to the Raavan team, both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abishek Bachchan get dressed up in their resort every morning. Then each of them are wrapped into a blanket and escorted to the waiting jeep, which is again closed with thick bed sheets.

Once they are transported to the spot where motor vehicles are not allowed to proceed further into the dense forests, they hop off the jeep and again wrap into a blanket to reach the shooting spot. Source
 

Saif is shooting rigorously for his production being directed by Imtiaz Ali in Delhi, whereas Kareena is busy with the shooting of Mr And Mrs Khanna in Dubai. And recently the couple made their presence felt in Airtel Marathon last Sunday held in Delhi.

It’s reported that Saif, who is presently working in his first home production movie, is so busy that he has not been able to watch ‘Golmaal Returns’ till now.

Bebo was quoted as saying: “Saif’s too busy for me…and hasn’t had time to watch the film”. Kareena’s role of a housewife obsessed with K-serials is getting good response from the film fraternity and movie buffs alike. Even Kareena has got a big fan in her 4-year-old niece, Samaira, who loves the song “Tu Saala Kam Se Gaya” from ‘Golmaal Returns’.

Recently, it was Kareena who was tied up with her work to attend Saif’s rock concert. And now, Saif is too busy to catch up Bebo’s ‘Golmaal Returns’.

If reports are to believed, then the actress Neetu Kapoor has been offered a role opposite her husband and she has accepted. The film in question is being directed by Habib Faizal and produced by Arindam Chaudhary of Planman Motion Pictures. It will be the director’s first time with a feature. He has previously been directing for television. His first choice was Neetu but he had a backup in mind as well in case she refused the project. Lucky for him, she loved the role and script and agreed to do the movie.Otherwise, the director would have had to go with his second choice Juhi Chawla. Rishi and Neetu fans will be delighted to see them together again, for sure. The actress will play wife to Rishi, who will play a maths professor in the film, titled Do Dooni Chaar. The film’s shooting will take place in Delhi this coming January or February. It seems that even Rishi is very excited about the project and played the clinching factor as he managed to persuade Neetu that it was an ideal comeback vehicle for her. It will seem quite like the good old days of Rafoo Chakkar, Jhoota Kahin Ka and Khel Khel Main again. Source

And Dostana is no different. In fact, truth be told, the producer has outdone himself. The cast comprising of Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan never looked so eye-poppingly good as they did in the promos doing the rounds.

And it is all thanks to designers Akki Narula and Manish Malhotra. When it comes to colours, Priyanka always prefers grey, black and white. But for Dostana, we decided to experiment with bright solid colours like the ones in the citrus family.

Throughout the film you will find Priyanka in shorts, formal jackets and bikini tops. I personally like people wearing casual blue jeans with a formal jacket. So I gave her a pair of satin golden shorts with formal jacket to go with it. She wears them to work. The best outfit of Priyanka would have to be her tan denim dress. Source

Aamir Khan’s actress of Ghajini, Asin is seen nowhere. The girl is not happy either. It is said that she had an argument with Aamir, as she felt like a bird in the cage. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Asin argued with Aamir recently though she is very fond of him. Her popularity has shot up following her involvement in Ghajini but she is not happy, as she has been restricted from speaking to the media or making public appearances. She is not even allowed to give her portfolio pictures to anybody. Her woes increased even more, as the shooting of the film was delayed due to Aamir’s injury.
 
Owing to these excessive restrictions, Asin is said to have spoken to Aamir. The news is doing the rounds that Aamir was taken aback when Asin complained about the restrictions.
