Karan Johar’s birthday party was a place of patch ups, first it was SRK and Ash who became friends then it saw the grand reunion of Kareena Kapoor and Ash. Kareena Kapoor, who was in the capital for the International Cricket Council (ICC) news conference, had not been on talking terms with the Bachchans eversince Abhishek‘s relationship with Bebo’s Karisma Kapoor ended a few years ago.

Ash and Kareena were reportedly seen laughing, giggling, whispering and behaving like two long-lost friends. Ash and Bebo also hit the dance floor together.

It was reported earlier that Abhishek, who had made his debut with Kareena in Refugee, had refused films with her, prompting the emotional girl to react angrily and defiantly.  Source

Himesh Reshammiya’s third film as an actor Kajraare, a T-Series’ production is all set to be a Diwali release. Directed by actress Pooja Bhatt the film stars opposite Himesh, Pakistani actress Mona Laizza apart from Amrita Singh and Gulshan Grover. The release date for the film is scheduled as October 16th. But on the same day two more biggies are slated for release, thats Hrithik Roshan – Barbara Mori - Kangana Ranaut starrer Kites and Ajay Devgan’s home production All The Best staring Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Ajay himself.

Kajraare is supposedly, a modernised remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Pooja Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. But this move to release it on Diwali day seems no less than a hara-kiri claims trade pundits. Himesh began his acting career with a bang with a musical hit like Aap Ka Surroor but his next release, the Karz remake titled Karzzzz was a big turkey at the ticket window. His Kajraare was to release much earlier but reportedly, the on going recession took toll on it and the schedules kept getting pushed ahead. Now as its nearing completion, the makers are planning for a Diwali release. But with big mega budget oppositions like Kites and All The Best, we just hope the makers give the release date a rethink or else Himesh might have to work harder to prove himself yet again as an actor. Deepika Padukone is the latest choice of Rakesh Roshan because he has decided to rope the dusky beauty for ‘Krrish 2’ opposite beta Hrithik Roshan.  However, a close source reveals, “After the success of ‘Krrish’, the Roshans decided to go ahead with the sequel of the movie. Their first priority was to finish with ‘Kites’ and then work on ‘Krrish 2’. ‘Kites’ is almost done and is in the post-production stage. Rakesh Roashan`s production house FilmKraft is working on ‘Krrish 2’. They are at an infant stage and still working on script and the star cast, but it obviously includes Hrithik as the actor.”

The source maintained, “The layout of the script is ready and it will see Hrithik in a superhero avatar once again. He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World, so naturally the film will be shot extensively at various foreign locations. Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. Like the prequel, this too will have SFX and a big crew of foreign technicians.” If this happens then Deepika will replace Priyanka Chopra in the sequel. Source

We had reported earlier that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will play the villain in Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) action-adventure series Dhoom 3 but a source from the production company has denied any such development.

“This story is completely untrue and baseless. We have no idea where this rubbish originated but like all wildfires has spread rapidly,” Vice President (marketing and communications) of YRF Rafiq Gangjee, told. The rumours that Shah Rukh would soon follow in the footsteps of Hrithik Roshan by playing a villain opposite actor Abhishek Bachchan in the Dhoom series began when British news website femalefirst.co.uk first reported it.

According to the article which was published on May 26, a source said,”Shah Rukh had been approached by the banner to play the main villain in the most successful franchise of Bollywood – the Dhoom series – and he has immediately given the nod. Last few days there has been a lot of buzz that Saif Ali Khan has signed the dotted line for the same role but it seems they were just plain rumours.” Source

The two superstars Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan met again on Wednesday May 27 for another Producers Guild meeting at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The core members including filmmakers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt, Yash Chopra, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Eros International’s Sunil Lulla and Amit Khanna of BIG Pictures were present for the same. Talking about a solution to the deadlock, Mukesh Bhatt said, “You will get good news in two days.”

It was quite interesting to see SRK and Vidhu Vinod Chopra leave together from the meeting which began at 9 pm and went on for over three hours. The two had fought via the media regarding the hijack of Raju Hirani. While Chopra had alleged SRK of doing it, SRK had denied vehemently. But now it seems that the big war has brought these two back together.

Our source present at the meeting revealed, SRK was more involved this time and attentively listened to Amit Khanna who explained him the latest developments. Aamir was quieter. As soon as the meeting ended Aamir left before SRK. They avoided getting clicked together. More

Despite facing an army of lensmen and electronic journalists, Karisma diplomatically handled the media, making sure everyone got their share of news without a commotion. She might be absent from the silver screen, but Karisma hasn’t lost any of her star powered-magnetism and grace.

Did anyone in India know who Barbara Mori was until the Roshans brought her over for Kites? And now after Cannes, Barbara is being recognized on an international podium.

It’s not just fame that Kites has brought Ms Mori. She also knew no English before she started shooting for Kites. But by the time the shooting concluded she could grope around the English language, thanks to Hrithik Roshan.

Apparently, Barbara and Hrithik made a pact. Hrithik would teach Barbara English and Barbara would teach him Spanish. Says Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan: “Barbara knew only Spanish when she started shooting for Kites. That suited us fine since her character is supposed to understand only Spanish. During shooting she needed to communicate with her co-stars and the crew. She was forced to learn English. Now she speaks just enough to make herself understood.”

Tapan Saha is very ambitious and optimistic about his film ‘Chimera’, for which he has already roped in Billy Zane, who played Kate Winslet’s fiancé in ‘Titanic’. The movie, a paranormal thriller, will have Zane playing an American doctor who comes to work in India. Bipasha plays a patient whom Zane treats. There will also be a steamy lovemaking scene which will be out of the league of what Bipasha has done so far. Saha himself tells a website: “Bipasha has a love-making scene that Indian cinema hasn’t seen her doing before.”

Well, if this scene surpasses the love scenes Bipasha has done with the likes of Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham in the past, we can expect the unexpected from ‘Chimera’.

To be made by Saha and Daniel Silverman, the film will expectedly have Victor Bannerjee playing Bipasha’s father. Saha has also finalized Shabana Azmi to play Bipasha’s mother, and Anil Kapoor as Zane’s Indian friend. But these actors haven’t signed up yet.

According to Saha, Zane is so moved by the film’s script that he’s charging very little from the producers. Though he has already approached Bipasha to play the female lead, she’s yet to sign on the dotted line. Meanwhile, Saha also plans to direct a film starring Sharon Stone and Amitabh Bachchan . During the shoot of New York, co-stars John Abraham and Katrina Kaif are said to have stayed miles away from one another and shared extremely cold vibes. As a reminder, Katrina’s now ex-beau, Salman Khan, and John Abraham are mortal enemies who do not get along at all. That said, her equation with hunky Abraham has recently changed after she and Khan recently called it quits.

Apparently, the fraternity is abuzz with the new “friendship” which has upset Salman even more, “Everyone in the industry is talking about this changed equation between Kat and John. There will surely be repercussions to this new development,” the source also informed. While Katrina and John collectively refuse to comment on their new “bond” – which is causing skeptics to believe it is nothing more than a publicity stunt for New York, a close friend to Abraham quickly spoke to their defense, “There is nothing going on between him and Katrina. He is just being targeted by someone. The truth will come out soon.”

Previously, when Katrina was linked to Ranbir Kapoor, Salman is said to have called the young Kapoor lad who quickly assured Khan of no such relationship. To his credit, Salman believed him and the topic was dropped. In the case of Katrina, she is letting the industry know that she is officially not with Salman but understands she should not “rub him in the wrong way” too if she is expected to “survive in the industry.” Source

Its a bit of disappointment for all the fans. The rumors that Madhuri Dixit will soon be starring in a new film and that her co-star will be hunky Ranbir Kapoor are totally false. The director of the supposed project, Prakash Jha, has denied the reports saying that the stories were all a fabrication.

Jha said, “It’s absurd. Logon ka kuch kaam nahin, toh they start cooking up these stories. Everyone’s talking about it. But I have no idea who spread these rumours.” The rumors came as a surprise to both Madhuri, whose manager called Jha and also too Ranbir, which Jha says, “must be running for cover.”

In fact there is no project like the one rumored in the works at all. Jha is currently working only on Rajneeti, “No. I take up one project at a time, aur ek project ko banane mein paanch saal lag jaate hain. Currently, I’m trying to wrap up Rajneeti.” Rajneeti, which is a political drama, has an all-star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai.
