After getting bored of that same image all over, Amrita Rao is all set to establish a new image. She goes sultry in her new film ‘Shortkut’. Amrita Rao is soon going to join the bikini brigade, Priyanka, Bipasha, Kareena etc and she has no qualm in exposing herself as far as the script demands.

With hordes of side artists, Amrita poses in wet and wild way in ‘Shortkut’. She is happy the way her career is taking shape and feels proud of the roles that she has portrayed so far. Amrita feels proud that audience has accepted her in simple role so far, she said, “I’m very proud of that (simple) image. When I did the Verve cover, people woke up to another side of me. I’d say I was glamorous in Vivah and Main Hoon Na as well, though in an ethnic way”.

If sources are to be believed the Bombay High Court recently challenged Income Tax Appellate Tribunal’s order, which in June 2008 was ruled in SRK’s support. According to the appeal, SRK owes a sum of Rs 19.43 lakh, after an exemption of Rs 72.67 lakh for the year 1998-1999. An anonymous source suggests, “The appeals for the remainder of the amount will come up for hearing in separate cases over the next few weeks.”

During the year 1998-1999, SRK declared his annual income to be Rs 2.01 crore. However, out of this, Rs 72.67 lakh was acquired from international endorsements. Rs 19.43 lakh was touted as ‘towards royalty’ from Jeanne Arthes Perfume, who launched a perfume after SRK. For this, Shah Rukh Khan sought deductions under 80RR of the Income Tax Act, by claiming that the earnings were a professional receipt from an international source.

Nevertheless, the Income Tax department maintained that SRK garnered this sum by endorsement rather than his profession - acting. More

“I’m directing a film in mid-2009. There is no role for Kajol in my next film. The leading lady’s role in that film doesn’t suit her,” Devgan said. Kajol and Ajay was liked by the audience in U Me Aur Hum and Ajay as a director was appreciated.

Now when you jump from the fifth floor you’re harnessed. Earlier you just did it, or didn’t.”

Actor Shiney Ahuja was arrested early Monday on rape charges after preliminary tests conducted on his domestic help confirmed  sexual assault, a senior police official said. The Oshiwara police on Sunday evening detained Ahuja for questioning. He is likely to be produced before a magistrate’s court later in the day.

The 18-year-old maid (name withheld), said police sources, had been working with Ahuja for the last one-and-a-half months. “She approached the Oshiwara police at around 7 pm and told the police that Ahuja had raped her,” said Amitabh Gupta, additional commissioner of police.

The complainant told the police that she had come for domestic work to Ahuja’s flat. The actor’s wife was not at home. “He took me into his bedroom, gagged and raped me,” the victim is believed to have said in the FIR. The incident took place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday. “The complainant told the police that she was traumatised after the incident and went to her relatives’ place who along with the girl then approached the police station,” said DCP Niket Kaushik.

Soon after the complaint was registered, the girl was sent to the Nagpada police hospital for a medical examination late Sunday night. More

‘Delhi-6′ star Sonam Kapoor also walked the ramp for her designer friend Annamika Khanna wearing a red and beige lehenga.

Bollywood most in love couple Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne seemed to have put the Barbara Morri episode behind them as they walked the ramp at IIFA fashion extravaganza hand-in-hand.

The couple looked very much in love as they sashayed down the ramp as the show-stoppers for Susanne’s sister Farah Khan Ali’s jewellery designs, which complemented the Manav Gangwani’s black and white dresses the two were donning.

“I am not really a jewellery person but first of all the designer is my sister and then the pieces are beautiful and my favourite is the scorpion neck piece that I am wearing,” Hrithik said while walking the green carpet. It was a family affair for the couple as Hrithik’s father-in-law actor Sanjay Khan and dad Rakesh Roshan cheered them from the front row at the show which was hosted by Susanne’s brother actor Zayed Khan and singer-actress Sophie Chaudhary.

Initially, she was all geared up to be a part of the event, but as soon as she realised that she wasn’t being given as much importance as the Bachchans, she opted out.

Earlier, reports suggested that Bebo wanted to spend some time with beau Saif Ali Khan, which is why she decided to give IIFA a royal ignore.  But now, it’s been revealed that Kareena wanted to open and close the event with her performance, but the organisers wanted the Bachchans to perform at least once, since Amitabh is the brand ambassador of the event. Grapevine has it that Kareena was also upset about the fact that she didn’t get nominated for her ultra-glam character in ‘Tashan’. Our source says, “Kareena was expecting a best actress nomination for ‘Tashan’. Never mind if the film bombed, for Kareena, it is one of her best roles.”

The junior Bachchan, Abhishek felt “very gay” as he accepted the best comic actor for his performance in Dostana at the Idea International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. He dedicated the award to wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
“I dedicate this award to two people - Amar Singhji, who is in the hospital, and my wife Ash. I promise I will only love you (Ash). I am a heterosexual, but today I am feeling very gay,” Abhishek said in his acceptance speech.

In Tarun Mansukhani’s comedy Dostana, Abhishek and John Abraham played friends pretending to be a gay couple to secure rental accomodation in Miami. The film was a huge box-office success thanks to the duo’s chemisty and perfect comic timing. Abhishek, who started crying when his name was announced, said that it was his dream to do comedy like his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, did in Amar Akbar Anthony. Source
