During the premiere of American mini series IFC’s BOLLYWOOD HERO, guess who was seated next to Neha Dhupia. None other than Hollywood superstar Ed Norton.

A source close to Neha said, ”Neha did not know who was seated next to her during the screening of BOLLYWOOD HERO. She did not recognize him initially.” When Neha looked closely she couldn’t believe her eyes. She kept pinching herself to make sure that it was actually Ed besides her.

”Ed’s presence took her by surprise. He had actually squeezed out time and attended BOLLYWOOD HERO’s premiere,” said our source.

The source added, ”Ed complimented Neha on her performance in the series. Neha is still drooling over the praise. She hasn’t got over it as yet.” Source

Shahid Kapur seems to have moved on after romancing Priyanka Chopra, for the actor is all set to romance Salman Khan’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

According to reports, Katrina Kaif has become Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) current favourite after the hugely successful ‘New York’ and acknowledging her success, YRF has apparently signed her for their forthcoming flick opposite none other than Shahid Kapur.

While Shahid remained unavailable for comments, when enquired about the same, all that Katrina said is, “I have signed two films”, refusing to divulge anymore. Now, which two flicks is she talking about will remain a secret till the actress agrees to unravel it.

However, considering how Shahid has always been linked up with almost every actress he’s worked with till now, guess he may just land himself into some serious trouble. We all know Salman…right? Source

Genelia D’Souza is all set to reach a bigger audience through TV. But it wasn’t a calculated move, she says. “I didn’t plan any of the things that have happened to me. Whether it’s acting, modelling or this TV show I’ll be hosting, it’s my fans who’ve decided for me,” says Genelia. “I’m doing two films with the production house that owns the channel which will air the show, Big Switch. I share a great rapport with them. They liked my work and attitude and asked me to host the programme,” she tells us.

And TV isn’t just for out-of-work Bollywood actors, she maintains. “I don’t think it’s a back-door entry to the limelight. Television is the best way to reach out to a lot of people,” she says, adding, “I’ve always lived by my own fundas. When I started my film career down south, people told me it was a place for Bollywood drop-outs. But I’ve proved them wrong and made a place for myself there.” So, does this mean that Genelia is in the same league as Salman Khan and Farah Khan, who are now hosting TV shows? “Oh, no! They’re great. I’ll be glad if I get anywhere close to them,” she replies.

Meanwhile, the actress has several releases slotted for this year. Apart from Hook Ya Crook and Chance Pe Dance, she also has a Telugu film ready for release. But not all her Bollywood flicks have done as well as her southern films. Is she making the wrong choices? “I need some time to get it right. It wasn’t all that easy for me even in the south. But I made it and I’m confident I’ll make it here as well,” asserts Genelia. Source

Just when Kunal Kohli thought that the male lead of his untitled forthcoming romantic comedy had been finalised, he has been left in the lurch. Akshay Kumar, who had earlier agreed to do his film, has backed out. Buzz is that the star was unhappy with Kunal shouting from the rooftops about him doing the film.

A source says, “Akshay was livid when he heard that Kunal had told his close aides and even some sections of the media that he had found the male lead. Kunal got carried away when Akshay showed interest in the subject in their initial talks.” A couple of days ago, Akshay finally told Kunal that he is not doing the film. The source adds, “Kunal is still clueless about what went wrong. It is said that when Akshay read the script in totality, he found many loopholes. That’s when his interest started waning. Now Kunal will have to begin a fresh hunt. But one thing is sure, the next time he will surely not open his mouth in haste.”

Ever since Kunal broke off all ties with Yash Raj Films, after Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, he has been facing a tough time in finding an A-lister male lead for his next film. First, Saif Ali Khan refused to do his film. Then, he went to Ranbir Kapoor, who asked for changes in the script as he found the plot too hackneyed. Then, Shahid Kapoor and Imran Khan also turned him down. Looks like people are not willing to forget the fate of his last release, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), which was a box office disaster.  Source

Dance Premier League a unique dance format that is soon to go on air on Sony Entertainment Television has been creating news all through its audition phases. After auditions in Bhopal, Indore and Jaipur, singer-cum-actor Himesh Reshamiya was in Indore to support the Central Zone team on Dance Premier League and promote his film “Radio”. It was the final selection day to form the Central team who will finally take the dance challenge and bring glory to their region.

The show brings India’s rich and diverse culture from each region- each with its own flavour and unique identity to one platform to compete for regional pride. Dance Premier League will have 6 teams from different zones of India (North, East, West, and South and Central) and an NRI team competing with one another for “regional pride”– to bring glory to their zone by winning. Each Zonal team will comprise of talented dancers selected through multi-city auditions across select cities in each zone. Apparently, the Bengali dark skinned beauty was taking part at the North Bombay Sarvojonin event in Santacruz when a male stranger came to her and touched her breasts. Commenting on what exactly happened, a source present at the event said, “Bipasha and John came together for the Durga Puja in the evening and Bipasha was very excited as has always been part of Durga Pujas in Mumbai over the years. Just after the darshan, she was near the stage when someone pervert groped her breasts. Bipasha, of course, was taken aback and flew into a fit of rage. People around her tried to calm her down. John too was present there and he whisked her away to calm her down. She even wanted to lodge a police complaint. However, she had second thoughts. As for the sick man, he quietly and promptly ran away, taking advantage of the commotion.”

This is not the first time that such an incident has occured with Bipasha; she has previously been a victim of such an act while dancing in a nightclub some years back. Source

In a few hours from now, WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? would be released in theaters. The film is being noticed most for Priyanka Chopra’s 12 roles in the film. Time and again one hears a statement that for such and such role, an actor got under the skin of the character. One can’t help but ask Priyanka that ‘How many skins did she have to get into, considering the fact that there were 12 characters to play?’

‘Actually it’s a joke when you say that for a particular role, you had to get into the skin of the character to get the performance right’, laughs Priyanka, ‘Honestly, acting in a movie is much beyond that. Take for example KAMINEY. There I had only eight scenes but I knew that it was very-very important for me to get it all right and make each of the scenes real. There was no margin of error and I had to portray the character perfectly.’

‘Same holds good for WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? too where each of the girls is just there for about 15-20 minutes’, she adds, ‘She may have one or at maximum two scenes to her credit. Still, even in that limited screen space, I had to get the characterization true.’ Source

He is the most handsome and dashing Bollywood superstar and is known for his impressive dialogue delivery but it is hard to believe that actor Hrithik Roshan’s childhood was traumatised because of stammering, a problem which plagues him even today. The actor, who acquired the heartthrob status overnight with his debut-hit Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, revealed that the defect surfaced when he was around six years old.

“Everything seems normal till you start talking. The minute you start talking, you get stuck and you don’t know why? Right from your toes to the ends of your hair strands, you are in complete shock. Your heart palpitates, you don’t understand and you are aware of people looking at you. You can compare it to hell,” Hrithik said.

Recalling his school days on director Farah Khan’s celebrity chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein, to be broadcast this Saturday on Star Plus, the 35-year-old said his childhood turned hell after his classmates began teasing him. More

The team of Prakash Jha’s political drama Rajniti is in good ‘shape’. We mean it, literally.

Well, with cast as fitting and ‘fit’ as Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, what else do you expect ? The story is that the trio is getting along famously on the outdoor location in Bhopal. Well, firstly, after work hours there isn’t too much activity for the trio out there and the saving grace is that their trainer from Mumbai has accompanied them all the way. Yeah, Arjun, Ranbir and Katz have a common trainer and in the evenings they team up to work out together.

Apparently Arjun is the first to hit the gym, Ranbir follows quickly, and Katz, though she gets a wee-bit lazy at times, with double inspiration around, she slips into her running shoes and joins the boys. Shahid Kapoor will be taking a nine-month sabbatical to prepare for the shoot of his next flick ‘Mausam’, which will be directed by his father Pankaj Kapur.
 
‘Mausam’ marks the first directorial venture of maverick actor Pankaj Kapur. According to news, it is believed that Shahid wants to concentrate on his father’s flick and thereby won’t be taking any acting assignments until July 2010. The movie shoot will commence from January 2010 and will be produced by Religare Vistaar Entertainment.

‘Mausam’ is a romantic flick that will be shot in four outdoor locales- the UK, Italy, Spain, Austria apart from India.

Confirming the reports to a news daily, a close source said, “Though there is still some time before the shooting starts, Shahid will begin preparing for the film long before January 2010. He has been urging his father to direct a film for many years. In fact, if Shahid had his way, his debut would’ve been with his father’s film. But Pankaj likes to work at his own pace and only with those he’s comfortable with. They’ve found the right producer now.” More

Usually Soha Ali Khan is a bold and upfront actress but when it comes to kiss Emraan Hashmi in ‘Tum Mile’, she was little hesitant. After the director convinced her, she finally agreed to kiss Emraan not once but twice.

Says director Kunal Deshmukh, “I told Soha at the outset that the script demanded one kiss which was to be in a song. Though she had agreed to it, when it came to the shoot, she had second thoughts.”

The director explains Soha that since they are playing a live-in couple, the kiss is a must for the film. “In stead of having the camera all over them, I thought a liplock would say it all. Soha was extremely reluctant but she agreed later.”

Soha also kissed Emraan during a song sequence. The director felt for one more kiss but later dropped the idea. The film has been produced by Vishesh films, ‘Tum Mile’ is set against Mumbai floods in July 2005 and it is expected to hit the theatre in November. Source
