This one is to worry about. During the shoot of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar were romancing in a sexy song sequence. As the lady jigged towards onscreen love Akshay Kumar, the actor’s jaw-struck Katrina’s head and she started to bleed. Seeing blood coming out of her head, the actress began to feel giddy. And co-star Akshay added to her woes, saying that she would now need a minimum of 4 stitches on her head.
 
However, when a scared Katrina started to cry, Akshay laughingly said that he was pulling her leg. The injury was a minor one and it didn’t stall the shoot but the actress was shaken. On top of it, Akshay’s prank was scary for the beauty. “Katrina did injure herself on the head, but she’s fine now and has resumed shooting,” a source said.

Katrina has been a bundle of nerves for quite some time now and has been falling ill frequently. Recently, she passed off on a film set and accused the media for pestering her. Here is a hope that the fragile beauty regains her strength and keeps delivering hits one after the other. Source

This one is not a common site. She’s shaken and stirred… with fear. Ameesha Patel stared disaster in the face after a geep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune express highway! And Patel, bruised and quaking with fear, was still thankful coz’ she’d escaped a fatal accident.

Reportedly, Patel accompanied by her grandmother, was coming back to Mumbai from Pune where she’d gone for an event, when the accident took place at around 7 p.m.

Says a close source, “Fortunately, her driver had quick reflexes and controlled the car before it could jump the divider. Ameesha got off at the nearest fuel station, put ice on her injured forehead, had a cup of coffee and was then able to calm herself down a bit. Her car has suffered the worst damage; all the four tyres were ripped and had to be changed.” Source

Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor who shot a soft drink commercial in Mumbai recently have hit it off. Over the last weekend, Ranbir, who says he has grown up watching Sanjay’s films, went over to Imperial Heights for dinner.

And at his behest, Maanyata Dutt made khichda (a mutton speciality). Then the boys (yeah, Sanju is 51 but he often behaves like a boy) ate, drank and made merry till the wee hours of the morning.

These two who have been wanting to do a film together for the longest time (remember all those premature stories of how Raj Kapoor’s grandson would work with Nargis’ son were floated) are still in the hope that someone will sign them together. Kites surely must be the one movie that audiences are dying to see. Now the music of Kites is out. Needless to say, one cannot expect anyone other than Rajesh Roshan to make music for a Roshan starrer.Hrithik Roshan, Rajesh Roshan and Rakesh Roshan when together personify excellence as a trait of their product. Music of Kites also falls in the same category.
 
Kites movie album has five songs whose lyrics have been penned down by Nasir Faraaz and Asif Ali Beg.KK has soulfully rendered two songs namely Zindagi do pal ki and Dil Kyun Yeh Mera. Both the numbers are breezy without any loud jarring influences.  Tum bhi Ho Wahi is another number from Kites movie which is groovy with slight western influences. Vishal Dadlani , Suraj Jagan have lent their voices for this number. The song fails to capture listener’s interest and sadly doesn’t live up to expectations.
 
Kites film in the sky is another song to look out for in this album. Though the song alternates between Spanish and English, it has a calming effect on the nerves. The starting two lines of the song remind one of John Lennon’s melodious numbers “Imagine”. The music is smooth flowing and mesmerizing. The English lines in the song have been sung by none other than Hrithik Roshan which is the surprise part because he does full justice to the song. Considering that he is not a professional singer, his effort is highly commendable.Hritik has only sung for 45 seconds in the song but it’s his voice all the way that catches attention. More

First while shooting the tricky bare-bodied climactic combat scene in Wai for Dabangg, Salman personally supervised his screen-adversary Sonu Sood’s torso tanning. And now when Sonu Sood fractured his nose while shooting, Salman helped him.

It happened so, Salman and his co-star in Dabangg, Sonu Sood were shooting a fight scene that is a part of the climax. During the practice, one of the fighters jumped and his knee happened to hit Sonu’s nose real hard. The pain was quite severe and the X-ray revealed a fracture in Sonu’s nose.

Later on Sonu insisted continuing the shooting, but seeing Sonu in pain, Salman called for pack-up and asked Sonu to rest. Source

Former super model Deepika Padukone walked the ramp on the fourth day of the ongoing 15th Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW) Autumn-Winter 2010 on Saturday at Delhi.

With Deepika Padukone as show stopper, designers G Pia Fleming and Namrata Joshipura showcased their collections on the fourth day. Fleming’s collection, showcasing mostly evening gowns, in the palette of whites, greys and off-whites, was inspired by the Broadway musicals of New York. Fleming’s motive is to present a collection for the red carpet at Indian award ceremonies.

Fleming designed a cream-coloured gown for Deepika.”I think both their collections were completely different. Pia’s was a lot more floral, lot more girly. Even in terms of colour, I think there were more pastel shades, whites, grey and off-white. Even the mood of the show was a lot more dreamy and musical,” Deepika added.

Hosted by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), The WLIFW-AW 2010 will witness the participation of 130 designers, 75 of them also presenting shows and among whom 19 are debutants. Source

The beautiful lady Katrina Kaif is all set to bid goodbye to her cotton sarees look. The actress will soon be seen doing an item number in Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan.’  News has it that a joyful Katrina personally shopped for all the accessories to get the perfect look of an item girl in the film.

Talking to a news daily on her frenzied shopping experience, an elated Katrina said, “It is a challenge doing a complete look for my character. I guess I learnt that from ‘Raajneeti.’ Every accessory makes you feel more like the character.” It is believed that Katrina is closely studying the best of Bollywood item songs – right from Mumtaz’s ‘Tik tiki tik’ (Humjoli) to Bipasha’s ‘Beedi jalaile’ (Omkara).

Even Akshay Kumar has be teaching Katrina the art of losing one’s shyness while dancing on-screen. Talking about her inhibitions, Katrina said, “I’ve always wanted to freak out on camera, to just get wild. This is my chance.”  Source

A four day shooting of Siddharth Malhotra’s remake of ‘Stepmom’ was being monitored with acute attention. Reason: a pregnant Kajol was… dancing atop a piano to Bosco and Ceaser’s vigorous steps!!

Initially, Kajol was a wee apprehensive when she saw the energetic moves and gyrations that she was required to do for the Elvis Presley number ‘Jailhouse Rock’.

Sensing her anxiety, the choreographers had toned down the steps and had cast aside the twist atop the piano. Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Kajol were part of the song number, and a supremely professional Kajol danced atop the piano, managing to get in right in two takes!

Says Malhotra in a media talk, “Seeing is believing! I wanted to do away with the piano bit altogether, but Kajol fearlessly went ahead and did it!” Guess, Kajol’s truly striking a high note. Source

Former lovers of bollywood, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were almost locked in to jointly anchor Zara Nach Ke Dikha , a forthcoming dance reality show on television, but things then fell through.

A source said, “Shahid would have been ideal to lead the boy’s team and ditto for Priyanka for the girl’s team. But the plan went awry because Priyanka went on to choose Fear Factor instead and Shahid was in no hurry to make his TV debut.”

Shahid’s spokesperson confirmed, “Shahid will be shooting abroad for his father’s film during those dates, so he had to decline the offer. Source

The director of the film Kites, Anurag asked Hrithik Roshan to lend his own vocals to a song in English for a particular song situation. Hrithik refused initially however, when Anurag told him that the song situation would look more genuine if he did his own playback Hrithik agreed. Though, that was just the Beginning. Hrithik was nervous and had to do lot of preparations. “When we came up with this song Anurag suggested that Hrithik and Barbara should sing it. I wasn’t sure whether Hrithik would agree even though he is a good singer. When Hrithik heard the song he immediately agreed and started rehearsing, but Barbara was not available so we found a singer Suzanne to sing the song. Barbara heard the song later and loved it. Suzanne came back to the recording studio when Barbara was around and in Barbara’s presence, Suzanne did the Spanish portions again so that she got the pronunciations perfect.” producer Rakesh Roshan added.  
 
Hrithik Roshan started recording his song at midnight and finished by 4 am. “When Duggu does something new he always put his best foot forward. All of us at home are very proud of him, because he has done such a commendable job.” As recalled by proud dad Rakesh Roshan.  More

Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s appointed meetings with reality shows continues as she will be celeb judge on Colors show IPL Rockstar. IPL Rockstar required a star connected to the Indian Premier League and so Shilpa was signed on. Shetty will rate the contestants for their star presence and the ability to shine as a true Rockstar. Stakeholders in the Rajasthan Royals IPL team Shilpa Shetty and her hubby Raj Kundra are facing a miserable time in IPL. Their team is currently second last on the table. Interestingly, ever since the couple joined the IPL since last year, Rajasthan Royals’ fortunes declined as they finished sixth in the 8-team competition other than losing their title.

In the financial year 2008-2009 Akshay Kumar was the highest taxpayer as he had paid over Rs 30 crore last year and leave behind king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. According to a close source to Akshay Kumar the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) decided to rope him in to feature in a TV ad urging people to pay taxes honestly and on time. “The CBEC was of the opinion that no other B-Town star could convey the message of tax compliance better than Akshay who for the last four years has been diligently paying his service tax in advance.” 
 
“Akshay Kumar has a sturdy dependable image — professionally and personally — which people relate to. While his image at the box office is successful, his image as a father and family man too has been excellent. Akshay has always been meticulous when it comes to paying his taxes and is willing to help in encouraging fellow citizens to do the same.” Source added.
