Vidhu Vinod Chopra has finally got Shah Rukh Khan onboard for one of his esteemed project.  The director, who has been chasing King Khan for years now, had offered the actor roles in films like `Kareeb`, `1942-A Love Story`, `Munnabhai MBBS` and even `3 Idiots`, has got his wish granted as SRK will be seen playing the lead in his next film. And if sources are to be believed, the mega blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ would have been made with SRK in the lead had it not been for the differences between the two. Nevertheless, since June last year, Shah Rukh and Vidhu have come closer and are now ready to put to let go off their differences.

Confirming the news, a source said, “There is no animosity between them now. In fact, they are very friendly with each other. The renewed friendship is now set to be cemented with a film called Ferrari Ki Sawaari.” And even though the two are yet to confirm the news, industry is abuzz with reports that Shah Rukh has given his nod to the project.

As for the film, it tells the story of how an Indian cricket legend’s Ferrari makes a young boy’s dream of playing cricket at Lord’s come true. Source

Rakesh Roshan’s KITES is certainly one of the most anticipated and awaited films of the year. Not only will the audience get to see their favourite super hero Hrithik Roshan after a gap of almost two years but this time around he is paired opposite the hot and sensuously beautiful Spanish starlet, Barbara Mori, which makes KITES a hot proposition, literally speaking!

However, not much is being written about our own National Award winner, Kangna Ranaut, who is also essaying an important character in the film, nor has she been seen in the promos that are out on various channels and portals. So, what does our Himachal beauty thinks about KITES?

Well, Kangna is honest enough to admit that her role in KITES is a short one, but says that it is very important to the narrative and adds that she is extremely happy to be a part of such a prestigious, international project. She also proclaims that KITES will be a trend setter; as it has the complete look and feel of a Hollywood project, like (for example) its technical aspects which are as superior as any Hollywood film. Minissha Lamba may have seen good appreciation coming her way for WELL DONE ABBA and also carried a nice pay check back home. However, it’s the loss of Rs. 500 that she regrets most while working on the film. Reason being that this amount had a certain prestige attached to it and for Minissha, it was an opportunity of the life time to be bestowed with this honour.

“Well, Shyam (Benegal) Sir has a standing rule in every film of his that whoever contributes with the title is given Rs. 500″, sighs Minissha who was one of the many volunteers who took up the challenge, “This amount has remained just the same for 35 years but most importantly, it is notable for the prestige that it carries with it. It is unmatchable though today, all I can imagine is the kind of high that you can get once Shyam Sir hands you over that amount. I am sure it would be much higher than all the money that you get as remuneration for your job as an actor. Source

Is comedy becoming her comfort zone? “My audiences like me in comedies. It’s a talent I have. If there’s a possibility of doing one great comedy a year by either David Dhawan, Priyadarsan or Sajid Khan, you’d be a fool to turn it down as they’re masters of their craft. But I don’t limit myself to it. I can even do a negative role. I’m more an actor than a star,” she states. More

Its cricket all over these days in bollywood. Perhaps following the suit of her colleagues in Bollywood is Asin, who, if reports are to be believed, would promote the newly formed Kochi IPL team. It is said that since the actress, one of the happening beauties of B-town, hails from Kerala, organisers of the Kochi team found her a right choice to make their team familiar with cricket lovers all over India.

“Following this, they approached the actress and finally convinced her to be part of the promotional events planned for the cricket team, which will take the field for the next season, in 2011,” reports added.

Meanwhile, Asin’s father Joseph Thottumkal too was quoted as saying that he did not want to comment whether his daughter was roped in or not by the cricket team, since the announcement should come from the team owners. Source

After working with model-turned-National Award winner Arjun Rampal in ‘Raajneeti’, Ranbir Kapoor considers him a ‘brother for life’ and says he loves him so much that he feels extremely jealous of Arjun’s wife. ‘I have had a wonderful time working with Arjun in ‘Raajneeti’. He is my brother for life. I love him a lot. In fact I love him so much, so much that I am jealous that Mehr is his wife,’ Ranbir said while addressing a press conference at the Galaxy Hotel here Saturday.

The two actors were in a fun mood as they stood up and started clapping as soon as their co-actor Katrina Kaif stepped on to the stage. They even banged the table instead of clapping later, and Ranbir kept dropping the cap of a plastic water bottle placed on the dais. Even Arjun went out of his way to confess his feelings for Ranbir as well as the other cast and crew members of ‘Raajneeti’, directed by critically acclaimed Prakash Jha.

Apparently, Dippy told him that it wouldn’t be an easy task, since she was quite heavy despite her slender frame. And everytime Khan had to lift DP, she’d guffaw her guts out!

The gorgeous Sonam Kapoor has just done two movies since her debut in 2007, but this year, the actress has her hands full with the release of two projects and shooting schedules of three movies. The 24-year-old, who was first seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya” and later in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Delhi-6″, is awaiting the release of “Aisha” and “I Hate Luv Storys” in 2010.

“Guys, I’ve finished filming ‘Aisha’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and they will be my two releases this year. I’m working on three films this year. I’m doing ‘Thank You’, ‘Mausam’ and the third one I can’t talk about,” Sonam posted on her Twitter page Saturday.

In “Aisha”, which is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma, Sonam plays the role of an uber chic high society girl and has three actors opposite her – Abhay Deol, Arunudoy Singh and popular veejay Cyrus Sahukar. It is expected to release in August. More

The prince, Vivek Oberoi is extremely excited after meeting spiritual leader Dalai Lama at an inter-faith conference at Rishikesh Saturday. “So honoured and excited to meet and receive grace and blessings of so many spiritual leaders of all religions! Most excited about meeting His Highness Dalai Lama!” Vivek posted on his Twitter page.

“Am in the midst of pure divinity by the banks of the holy Ganga, basking in the infectious laughter of HH Dalai lama, blessings of Morari Bapu, the august presence of Baba Ramdev and hundreds of saints from all religions coming together for the root of all religions – love and peace,” the 33-year-old added.

The actor was in New Delhi early morning before he drove to Rishikesh for the inter-faith conference, where all religious and spiritual leaders have come together to promote peace.
