Kareena Kapoor’s Dare Devil Stunt

It might come as a surprise to many but Kareena Kapoor is risking it all. The actress performed a dare-devil stunt on her own for her upcoming film GOLMAAL 3. This is the first time Kareena has dared to take a risk of this kind.

According to sources, while shooting for her film, one particular sequence required the actress to stand on the bonnet of a car. By all standards, it was not an easy thing to do. But, Kareena surprised everyone by performing this dare-devil act on her own.

To make matters safe, the director of the film Rohit Shetty went behind the wheels and the stunt was completed with perfect ease. Source

Arjun Rampal Completes Hat-Trick Of Hits

With the grand success of Prakash Jha’s RAAJNEETI, Arjun Rampal now has third huge success in the making. His OM SHANTI OM with Shah Rukh Khan was a blockbuster, HOUSEFULL was the first clean hit of the year and RAAJNEETI has now gained a blockbuster status for itself.

“In a way, I should not be overtly surprised though because a few days before the release of the film itself, I could sense that excitement amongst the people”, says Arjun with all the right earnest, “Yes, because you are a part of a film, you do loose objectivity since you have lived and breathed that film for months. However, when people not associated with your film come and tell you that they can sense something extra special in it, you are bound to take their word.”

His words do make sense. RAAJNEETI had started creating good buzz around it days before the release and failure of KITES meant that there was widespread hunger amongst audience to catch hold of a quality product. Still, a reception belonging to the kind that RAAJNEETI has enjoyed worldwide is something that no one involved in the film itself would have expected. More

Shiney Ahuja Can Shoot In Mumbai Till June 30 !

Shiney Ahuja was back in Mumbai to complete filming for his horror flick ‘Shunya’. The Bombay High Court has permitted Ahuja to shoot in Mumbai till June 30, else he is to stay in Delhi and enter city limits for the hearings of his case.

Puja Bedi is a relieved producer and is frantically trying to wrap up the filming with actress Sayali Bhagat, former beauty pageant winner. Great care and caution has been exercised so that the media does not get a whiff of where Ahuja is filming. On the shooting front, its been an uneasy experience for the actor, despite best efforts from the cast and crew to make him feel at ease on the sets.

Says a close source, “There are stares and hushed whispers when Shiney is on the sets, and all of that disturbs Shiney greatly. Shiney, generally, avoids looking at people and returns to his vanity van as soon as the shot has been canned. He tries hard to mingle with the unit members, though he does maintain a safe distance from his co stars. And although they do talk there is a certain awkwardness in the air.” More

Raavan Is The “Critics Pick” In The West

Well, the east might not be that pleased but the west media is totally swept by the striking images and the quality of filmmaking by our genius from Chennai Mr. Mani Ratnam. The movie has got the rare distinction to be called as a ‘Critics Pick’ a distinction rarely if ever earned by an Indian film.

Leading American daily ‘The New York Times’ hailed it as a ‘Critics’ Pick’. The world top entertainment trade publication ‘Variety’ and ‘Hollywood Reporter’ too have praised the film that opened Friday on over 2200 screens around the world in 35 countries including US and Canada.

‘Raavan’ has “Bollywood glamour aplenty, with the lovely if occasionally dramatically challenged Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bachchan’s wife, playing the Sita stand-in,” said the New York Times. “The real star, though, is Ratnam, a talented visual storyteller who directs action crisply and fills the screen with striking images.”

The reviewers in west are very much impressed by A.R. Rahman’s ‘excellent score’ and Mani’s way of strory telling. More
