Everything about the project is under wraps right now. But if there is one recent film announcement that has got Bollywood truly excited it is the news of Kareena Kapoor teaming up with today’s poster boy Imran Khan.

Bollywood is happy that there will be one more star pair for them to market. Yes, these very good-looking actors have been signed by Karan Johar for his Short Term Shaadi, a film that is reportedly on the lines of the Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher romcom What Happened in Vegas. A source says that the film is likely to go on the floors in the month of November 2010. And Karan and his core team have been in closed-door meetings about the look of the characters, the locations, costumes, etc.

While Imran said, “I’m not at liberty to discuss anything about the film right now.” Kareena too has been vowed to secrecy by the creative team. After tickling the funny bones of their fans with ‘Hera Pheri’ ‘Garam Masala’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, the hit pair of director Priyadarshan and actor Akshay Kumar is back for the sixth time with yet another light-hearted outing, ‘Khatta Meetha’, which releases Friday.

While their previous films were slapstick comedies, ‘Khatta Meetha’ takes a dig at the corruption and bribery. ‘Our country is said to be a growing superpower with the fastest growing economy, but we still do not have good roads because of corruption in our system. This film is a message to people involved in the system…,’ said Akshay.

Working together in director Pradeep Sarkar’s forthcoming film ‘Lafange Parindey’, actress Deepika Padukone has found a friend for life in Neil Nitin Mukesh. Neil once went out of his way to do her make-up personally, which was somewhat different, required for an accident scene.

‘I think I have made a friend for life and I think that’s what I cherished the most because he is a wonderful human being and that comes across on screen. We got along really well,’ said Deepika.

‘There is an accident scene, where I need a different kind of make-up and he is trained in it so he told dada (Pradeep Sarkar) that he will do my make-up and he did. Another day where I was doing…not exactly an action sequence, but lot of cable work and all of that, he choreographed the entire act. So I think in every way he was there for me,’ Deepika told IANS in an interview.

News has it that after finishing the shoot schedule of ‘Agent Vinod’ in Morocco, Kareena was shocked to find her personal e-mail address hacked.

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Kareena could not manage time to check her emails as she had been busy with the shooting of Agent Vinod in Morocco. So, as soon as she was back to India, she tried to check her emails. But to her utter surprise, she was unable to log into her account after trying several times. Then she suspected hacking. The hacked account is one of her oldest e-mail accounts so Kareena is very upset with the incident”.

Kareena is yet to file a formal police complaint as the source said, “She is very busy with the shooting of ‘Golmaal 3’ so she did not get time for that. The matter is being looked into by her office and they will file a police complaint soon”.

Unable to spend quality time together due to their hectic work schedules, Bollywood’s first couple Abhishek and Aishwarya are all set to go for a vacation in London. 

Buzz has it that Aishwarya is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that she spends some quality time with hubby Abhishek in London, where the actor will be shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’. It is believed that Ash will be taking a week off in order to be with Abhsihek and also celebrate three years of their marriage.

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Ash will be travelling to London to be with Abhishek. She has made sure that she does not have anything important on her schedule as she just wants to spend quality time with him. The couple has been neck deep in work, right from shooting for their individual films to promoting ‘Raavan’ that saw both of them star in it. They hardly had a breather and so as soon as Ash learnt that Abhi will be in London to shoot Karan’s movie, she decided to book her tickets to England too.”

Our sources reveal that Aamir Khan will now make a special appearance at the success party of Karan’s film I Hate Luv Storys, tonight. And guess what? At this private party, Aamir will be the only guest who is not part of the film’s unit.

Our source said, “Karan and Aamir were hardly acquaintances till very recently. And they have now become close friends. After Karan made his appearances at Aamir’s party for Gustavo and attended the music release of Peepli Live, things are clearer by the minute. Now Karan has invited Aamir to this party.” Apparently, Karan telephoned Aamir personally to invite him to the party. Aamir, who is known to be inaccessible to the rest of the world as he rarely carries his mobile phone himself, accepted Karan’s invitation graciously and promised him that he would attend his party.

But Karan’s is a get-together for the cast and crew of I Hate Luv Storys, hence Aamir as a guest is obviously misplaced. But Aamir’s not one who goes back on his word. He will attend the party which will be held at a suburban five star hotel.”

According to Akshay Kumar, the possibility of the return of his actress wife, Twinkle Khanna to the big screen is next to nothing. Akshay doesn’t think that his wife is really interested in acting again.

He, therefore, has ruled out every possibility of her possible comeback to the films. Anyone remotely expecting Twinkle to be back would thus be disappointed. Akshay further says that she might not be interested in doing films in the near future.

If Sony has roped in Amitabh Bachchan to host the fourth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ then Colors has signed Shahrukh Khan to host ‘Bigg Boss 4’. The first, second and third season of Bigg Boss was hosted by Shilpa Shetty, Arshad Warsi and Amitabh Bachchan. It was heard that the channel at first approached Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt  for hosting Bigg Boss but after their refusal, the responsibility of hosting the show went to Shahrukh Khan.

Shahrukh Khan failed to charm his audience when he hosted ‘Kya Aap Panchi Pass Se Tez Hai’ in Star Plus and he was also not liked much when he dethroned Amitabh Bachchan in the second season of  KBC. Shahrukh might be ruling the world of Bollywood but he is yet to become the king of TV.

The contestants taking part in the show is yet to be declared but Sara Khan of ‘Bidaai’ is believed to be the first contestant of Big Boss 4. Last season, Vindu Dara Singh won the show.

Swati: Sanjay, in your life you have been through many highs and lows. And as compared to other celebrities in the industry, you have been destiny’s most tormented child. Can you tell us what have you learnt? What did you lose and what have you found?

Sanjay: In life, there are times when a person goes through many ups and downs. Even I have had my share of good times and bad times. But yes, right from the beginning, I have seen a lot of suffering. I still remember the premiere of my first movie ‘Rocky’, the euphoria over the film was lost because my mother had died just four days before. My mother’s death at that point of time was the biggest loss for me, which haunts me even now. I have also been through a drug phase and jail and court hearings, which made life all the more miserable. But I never gave up in those tough times and took everything in my stride, for I believed if you are able to face a problem, you eventually go on to become stronger and more grounded. More
