Akshay Kumar – As Busy As A Bee

Its time for Akshay Kumar to grab a little rest. With multiple releases in the months gone by (HOUSEFULL, KHATTA MEETHA), a TV show on the anvil (Master Chef India) and a couple of more releases (ACTION REPLAYY, TEES MAAR KHAN) before the end of year, Akshay seems to be continuing at a relentless pace. Add to this the fact that he had as many as five releases last year (CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA, 8X10 TASVEER, KAMBAKKHT ISHQ, BLUE, DE DANA DAN) and it just seems deserving that the actor takes a deep breath.

Says a trade observer, ‘Especially in the time when each of your films require a month long promotional campaign as well, Akshay practically appears to be either shooting or promoting his films month after month. In between all of this, he has also shot for ‘Master Chef India’. Moreover, he has his charity shows and other performances to take care of as well. It is amazing how Akshay is packing it all together.’

While he would begin shooting for the music video of TEES MAAR KHAN today, he is also looking at wrapping up the shoot of Anees Bazmee’s THANK YOU which releases in the first half of 2011. No wonder, it seems that Akshay has intentionally kept his date diary open for coming months with DESI BOYZ being the only new film which is looking at getting kick started.

‘You forgot PATIALA HOUSE. Even that film is almost complete and is all set for release very early next year’, comments the observer, ‘Akshay had had five releases last year, four releases this year and at least three next year – PATIALA HOUSE, THANK YOU, DESI BOYZ. Then there is this film that he would begin shooting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali & Prabhu Deva as well. That is quite a lot. Source
