Sonakshi Sinha must have had a dream debut opposite Salman Khan but Salman’s bhabhi is not so thrilled with the starlet. At a recently held Sahara India Sports Awards 2010, Sonakshi marked her stage debut with a performance on the iconic Munni Badnaam Hui track originally picturized on Malaika.
Everyone applauded Sonakshi for her first stage act on Munni as she performed with much grace and aplomb. However, sources confirm that Malaika has been quite disturbed about the fact that Sonakshi performed on Munni, when she could have performed on any other song.
Ever since the movie released, Malaika has been spotted in various shows and events across performing on the popular track. However Malaika was not approached for this event and the fact that Sonakshi performed on an iconic track originally featuring her did not go down very well with her.

Actor Sanjay Dutt has joined the star cast of Salman Khan and Govinda for the sequel to ‘Partner’, which will be directed by David Dhawan.
The movie will be produced by Sohail Khan and is written by Sanjay Chhel. It will go on floors in June 2011.
The decision to include Sanjay Dutt was taken last week, as the mantra at Sohail Khan Productions’ office is ‘Ek se bhale do, do se bhale teen’.
“With Sanjay in, the movie promises to be a laughing riot, even better than ‘Partner’, which starred Katrina. But the heroine for ‘Partner 2’ is yet to be finalized,” told a source.
“We definitely need one bigger actor in ‘Partner 2’. We have set our minds on Sanjay. However, I need to flesh out the role very well so that I am justified in signing him. We are working on that now,” told Sohail Khan.
Sanjay Dutt is presently involved in his home production movie ‘Rascals’. Source
Junior B Abhishek Bachchan says he is glad that he didn’t have to look down at Deepika Padukone while shooting Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, because she is the ‘tallest’ actress to have appeared with him till date.
‘Deepika is the tallest of the ladies I have worked with. I could finally look at my co-actress in the eyes and didn’t have to look down upon her. It was really nice and tall working with her,’ Abhishek, told reporters here.
Abhishek and Deepika, along with director Ashutosh Gowariker and other cast and crew members, were here Monday to promote ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, a film based on the Chittagong Uprising of the 1930s. The film releases Friday.
Dressed in a grey jacket and a pair of jeans to beat the Delhi chill, Abhishek looked dapper with a pair of shades and humbly responded to flying kisses from young girls at a shopping mall. More
The year 2011 could very well be the decisive year in the Shah Rukh Khan-Aamir Khan battle for one-upmanship. If all goes according to plan, next year both the superstars will go international with a film each by two of the most celebrated directors on the global map.
What gives the global war of the Khans a cutting edge is the striking similarity in location of the two proposed projects. Both films are set in Mumbai, with the city playing as large a role in the script as each of the Khans.
While Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is ready to adapt Suketu Mehta’s celebrated novel, Maximum City to screen, Aamir is set to play the lead in Paul Schrader’s X-Treme City for producer Anubhav Sinha, to be shot in Dharavi.
Both films are realistic takes on present-day Mumbai, its splendour and stench. Boyle and Schrader have already visited Mumbai a number of times and met the two stars who have reportedly agreed to be part of the respective films. More
Akshaye Khanna may be labelling his role in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ as a ‘special appearance’. However, if his director Farah Khan is to be believed, Akshaye has a much integral part to play in this Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer than just being relegated to a special appearance.
“He is truly the surprise element of the film. I guess this is applicable not just for the audience but also Akshaye himself. I am sure he too would be surprised to see his own role in the film. He feels that he isn’t there in the film much but the fact is that he has a strong presence in ‘Tees Maar Khan’,” says Farah in a confident tone.
With the film being less than a month away from release, Farah is throwing an open challenge to her actor who has forever revelled being an underdog right through his career, “Trust me when I say this but Akshaye is the maddest of them all in the film”, she says, “I have told him that I will do ‘taandav’ on his head when he would be walking away with all the rave reviews for the film. He is that special to the film.”
Hope Akshaye too starts believing that soon. Source

After doing some action films, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is now all set to tickle the funny bone with `Hera Pheri 4`.
“I have signed Anees Bazmee`s film, `Hera Pheri 4`. We will start shooting next month,” Abhishek said.
After three back-to-back action films — Mani Ratnam`s `Raavan`, Ashutosh Gowariker`s `Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se` and Abhinay Deo`s `Game`, the actor has opted for a change and signed a comedy film.
“I am not a calculating actor. I don`t choose the genres,” Abhishek told reporters.
The `Hera Pheri` series started with the funny trio of Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal in lead roles will now have Abhishek, Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar.
The film will be produced by Feroz Nadiadwala and directed by Anees Bazmee. The earlier sequels were directed by Priyadarshan. “It is going to be one of the funniest comedies,” Abhishek said. More
What’s it About: When you attempt a romantic comedy, you need to abide by two rules — it needs to have the freshness quotient and a twist in the tale.
Danish Aslam’s Break Ke Baad tries to stick to the formula but half-heartedly. And that’s why the zing is missing from this romcom. BKB is about Abhay Gulati (Imran) and Aaliya Khan (Deepika) — childhood friends who grow up and fall in love. However, they have distinctly polar personalities. She is flighty, unemotional, impulsive and ambitious. He is the complete opposite but believes that they belong by each other’s side and promises her that he’ll do anything to keep them together. He lives by his word and even follows her to Australia. Then things get complicated and Aaliya declares she wants to break up. It happens one too many times, until Abhay gives it all up one day and returns home to get married. Aaliya then begins to have second thoughts…
What’s hot: There are many films made on falling in love but few delve into the break-up process. The story idea held promise — sadly it is never exploited to its potential. The locations are beautiful, the lead pair looks great, the dialogues are good and the characters interesting. That holds true, especially of Yudishtr. He brings a smile to your face every now and then. The film bears semblance to reality, as there are thousands of couples out there breaking up and making up everyday. A strong screenplay would’ve helped the film make an impact, which it quickly loses after the first half. There are those momentary highs — scenes like the ‘Sunita-Shah Rukh Khan’ drunken escapade and between Aaliya and her mom Ayesha (Tagore). The humour is appealing. Nischol as Abhay’s dad and Dubey as his aunt add able support. Imran is getting more confident with every film and Deepika charms her way through. Vishal-Shekhar’s music is a big plus.

Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan is being criticized by the Shiv Sena (SS) and the Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) chiefs for hosting a dinner party in London on Sunday for a Pakistani TV Channel where along with the dinner there is a fashion show and a dance show scheduled to be held.
The news appeared in the mouthpiece of the Shiv Sena called Saamna. Shahrukh Khan has been given the wrath of the party chief as it says that while the country is expressing deep pain and paying homage to the martyrs and the victims on the second anniversary of 26/11 attack on Mumbai, how could he go and grace the occasion in support of Pakistan?
Shahrukh Khan, who also has plans of supporting the flood victims of Pakistan, has faced the criticism of going in to support the neighboring country despite such big pains caused by it to India. Shahrukh Khan who has arrived just recently from Berlin to Mumbai is scheduled to participate in the song and dance show to be held in London on Sunday.
Earlier too there were protests by the SS and MNS as Shahrukh Khan had expressed his views against the exclusion of the Pakistani players from the IPL. It remains to be seen what developments take place after this wrath from the SS and MNS chiefs. Source
Her last outing ‘Aaja Nachle’ may have failed and she may be based in the US, but that`s not stopping Bollywood`s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit from being part of the evolving entertainment industry in India. Still flaunting flawless skin and an evergreen smile, she says she has no regrets over any film.
The 43-year-old is back in business with what she is best at – dance. She will be judging Sony TV`s reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, and says the failure of ‘Aaja Nachle’ in 2007 didn`t deject her one bit.
“I don`t regret doing anything. When you work in a film, you do it thinking it will turn out well and will do well. But when it doesn`t do well, there`s nothing much you can do about it. So why should I regret anything?” said Madhuri, looking rosy cheeked in an orange and yellow sari.
A resident of Denver, Colorado, where she lives with her husband Sriram Nene and two sons – Arin, 7, and Raayan, 5 – she is out of touch with Bollywood but wants to be part of the changing face of Indian cinema by trying her hand at new genres.
“My choice of scripts will always be based on what appeals to me in a role. Of course, I will be looking for different kinds of roles. It`s tough to say which role I have liked in recent times…but, yes, very different kinds of films are being made these days and it would be great to know what`s out there for me,” Madhuri told reporters in an interview. The beautiful and sizzling Kareena Kapoor has indeed come a long way from the time of her debut film Refugee exactly a decade ago. This young and happening star has always swept audiences off their feet with her different roles in every movie that she has worked.
Kareena has the penchant for portraying the most high profile characters with equal panache and style as with her role as the simple village belle which she had portrayed in her debut film.
Kareena’s popularity amongst all age groups of audiences is perhaps her highest point as an achiever in the film industry and the fact that her portrayal of the vivacious Poo in Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham had everyone treating her like a diva was somewhat like a great achievement for the budding star.
However, the path breaking role of the die hard go-getter in Jab We Met made her the ultimate dream star of all directors and film makers, to say nothing of her over whelmed fans. She rocked in the role of a budding spectacled doctor in 3 Idiots, zooming around on a bike too! Kareena is fast turning into the babe with the magic touch as most of the films she does are hits, if not super hits. More
