Bollywood actor Abhay Deol was asked to take off his shirt for a scene in Zoya Akhtar’s next film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, but he firmly refused to do so. The reason — he has hair on his chest.

Zoya had asked him and Hrithik Roshan, who also plays a lead role in the film, to go topless in a scene. Hrithik obliged but Abhay refused to bare his chest, a source said.

“Abhay refused to take off his shirt as he doesn’t prefer to shave his chest hair,” the source told.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a fun-filled road film shot largely across Spain and apart from Hrithik and Abhay, also seen in pivotal roles will be Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres June 24. Source

Actor Saif Ali Khan is now learning Sanskrit for his role in Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’. He has reportedly got himself a tutor to learn Sanskrit.

Buzz has it that the characters in the film will speak the ancient Indian language. It is a bit of a task for Saif to pick up the language while legendry actor Amitabh is proficient in the same.

Saif needs training to speak the language fluently. He does not want to be any less impressive in the mouthing the Sanskrit words. Sources have revealed that he is spending a few hours everyday post shooting to brush up on his Sanskrit skills. Source

Bollywood`s `Dabangg` actor Salman Khan will be seen doing a daredevil stunt in PepsiCo`s new Mountain Dew ad – he jumps from 10,000 feet in a “wingsuit” from which a parachute springs open. “Everyone is afraid of something or the other at some point of life. But if you try to run away from fear, you`d be tired and eventually fear will win. So the best way to overcome fear is to face it, run through it because `Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai`,” Salman said in a statement.

Salman was initially not so sure about the stunt but he eventually did it. Wingsuit flying is a new sport of flying through the air in a special jumpsuit and pulling the parachute`s ripcord as one apporaches the ground.

He is said to be the first celebrity brand ambassador roped in by Mountain Dew.

Alpana Titus, category marketing director (flavoured carbonated drinks), PepsiCo India Beverages, says the new campaign is quite big in terms of quality and budget.

News is that for his next film, READY produced by T-Series and Rajat Rawail, Salman Khan recently shot some high-voltage action sequences driving a Tuk Tuk in the narrow streets of Pattaya, Thailand.

Salman, known for adding that extra ‘zing’ to his films, came up with the idea of shooting an action sequence in Thailand’s famous Tuk Tuks as this was never done before in a Hindi film. Subsequently, an action scene was written and shot, showing two Tuk Tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.

Obviously, the producers had to buy off 3 Tuk Tuks especially for this scene since the vehicles would face considerable damage in the course of the shoot. But Bhushan Kumar & Rajat Rawail happily did so as they wish to leave no stone unturned in creating bigger and better action scenes for READY after the success of WANTED and DABANGG.

Bhushan Kumar confirms, ‘It was Bhai’s idea to shoot with Tuk-Tuks which are very fast and powerful. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before. People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in READY. People will enjoy this unique Thai action.’ More

Vishal Bharadwaj and UTV production 7 KHOON MAAF might have got a mixed response from the critics and audience, but the film has managed to earn Rs.28 crore from its opening week box office collections and satellite and other rights.

According to official figures provided by YTV, the budget of the thriller starring Priyanka Chopra was Rs.22 crore, which included Rs.7 crore from publicity and advertising (P&A).

It managed to earn Rs.13 crore from India Box office sales, Rs. 11 crore from music and satellite rights, Rs.2 crore from overseas collections and Rs.2 crore from home video rights and other sources. Source

Sanjay Dutt who is currently shooting for “Rascals” in Pattaya, Thailand, injured himself. Everybody knows about Sanju baba’s obsession with fitness. After whole day of shooting, he never forgets to work out after pack up. On the particular day also, he was working out, when a dumbbell accidentally fell on his right foot, which resulted in a hairline crack.

He was immediately rushed to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. To relieve him of his foot pain, he was given ice pack fermentation to apply on the injured part. To make matters worse, despite doctor’s advice to take complete rest, he began working from the very next day. He wanted to complete the shoot, since his co-worker Kangana Ranaut had to return to Mumbai. But, all these work pressures, resulted in a minor crack.

He being dedicated to his work, refuses to stay out of action. Besides, he is also the producer of the film, and thus he does not want to waste time by remaining unoccupied. But, Ajay Devgn, his friend who also stars in the film, has taken the initiative to free Sanjay of his duties, by taking the responsibility on his shoulders.

The audience hate to see Sanjay unwell, and pray that he gains back health and gets back in action again. Source
