Preity Zinta – Meet The Latest Don Of Bollywood

No, it’s not Sanjay Dutt or Emraan Hashmi playing the underworld goon. It is, in fact, the bubbly-faced Preity Zinta who will be seen essaying the role of a gangster! The actress has reportedly said ‘yes’ to Jai Ramji, to be directed by filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia.

“Preity Zinta liked the script and has agreed to work in the film. However, I have not yet formally signed her, as she is busy with IPL and is not in Mumbai. The formalities should be completed once she is back in the city,” Dhulia told Mumbai Mirror.

Other stars in the film include Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda. The film is reportedly going on floors in July and should be complete by December-January. The last time a lady was seen in a gangster role was Neha Dhupia playing Munni Madam in Phas Gaye Re Obama.

Remember those reports of Preity Zinta taking up television anchoring because no one was offering her silver screen roles? Well, this should shut them up. Now, all that remains to be seen is whether Preity is able to set any records with this film. Source
