Sunny Deol Is All Set To Fight With Shahrukh Khan

Sunny Deol’s I LOVE NEW YEAR is in talks to be released on Christmas eve. So far so good. The only hitch (and a big one at that) is that Shahrukh Khan’s DON 2 is slated to arrive on the same day i.e. 23rd December. Since there is a back story behind this decision, it makes the clash all the more interesting.

For the uninitiated, it was more than a decade and a half ago when things soured between Sunny and Shahrukh. For Yash Chopra’s psychological dramatic thriller DARR, Sunny was the chosen one as the lead hero while Shahrukh was to play a quintessential villain. However as the film progressed, so impressed was Chopra Sr. with Shahrukh that the BAAZIGAR boy ended up being a hero who went away with all the sympathies while Sunny’s presence seemed like a cameo.
