Neha Dhupia : All Praise For Rajat Kapoor
When a film brings together the likes of Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak and Neha Dhupia, it is almost certain that there would be Rajat Kapoor involved as well. This time around he gets into the comical zone by playing a choreographer in PAPPU CAN’T DANCE SAALA.
“And guess what, he is the one who had to do the maximum acting when compared to all of us because ‘Rajat can’t dance saala’”, winks Neha, “In real life he struggles when it comes to dancing and look at the irony here as he is playing a dancer. Frankly, he is by far one of the most comical dancers that I have ever met. Moreover since in the film he is shown as a serious choreographer, it also ends up bringing in a lot of comic relief.”
The film features Vinay Pathak as a pharmacist while Neha plays a backup dancer who hails from a small town. Circumstances bring them together and there is a clash of ideologies, though in its own bitter-sweet way with humour taking centre-stage. With the team coming together all over again, one can almost assume that the quartet of Vinay, Neha, Rajat and Saurabh is pretty much inseparable and keep returning in one or the other combination.
“Well, what I can say is that this is a space in which I am extremely comfortable”, says Neha, “I like working with friends and it is absolutely wonderful that I keep getting an opportunity in their films. I just hope that it lasts for as long as I get a chance to perform. Being working with them only makes me feel special.”
