Criminal Court Tightens Its Rope On Vidya Balan

Nampally Criminal Court on Wednesday directed the police to take action against The Dirty Picture and to register cases against the film’s lead actress Vidya Balan and producer Ekta Kapoor.

The orders were issued after advocate Azad filed a petition in the court stating that The Dirty Picture contains many objectionable scenes. Admitting the petition, the court directed the Nallakunta Police Station to register a case.

In his petition, Azad stated that the obscene scenes in the movie would spoil the tender minds and their career. Stating that the objectionable scenes on posters and wall papers would divert the attention of viewers, he sought direction from the court to remove them. Source
