Akshay Kumar Is Tremendously Upset With His Film ‘Joker’

It’s hard to believe, but actor Akshay Kumar is not so pleased with his upcoming film Joker. It’s learnt that Akki is very disappointed with the way Joker has shaped up and is apparently miffed with the director Shirish Kunder.

Doesn’t that sound strange! Joker is clearly the much-awaited film of 2012 with an ensemble star cast and colourful setting. The movie is also being made in 3D and is touted as a great entertaining film. But the latest buzz that has taken the industry by shock is that Akshay Kumar didn’t like the film after watching its rough cut.

As per sources, Akshay was livid after watching the film and even rebuked the director. The actor was so fairly disappointed with the outcome of the film that he began to think of a way out. Moreover, Akki doesn’t want to tarnish his image further as his last few solo releases were big flops, and Joker is also his solo-lead film.

Thus Akshay Kumar was apparently quite upset with Shirish Kunder. But later, after discussing the matter, the actor and the director called it truce, and it was decided that Joker will release after Rowdy Rathore. As per Akki, RR looks promising and also he has a lot of confidence in Prabhu Deva’s direction. With this decision, it’s apparent that Khiladi Kumar doesn’t want Joker’s poor show at the box office to affect Rowdy Rathore, which stars Sonakshi Sinha in lead. More

Big B Watches ‘The Artist’ At Home

Amitabh Bachchan, who is recuperating at home after abdominal surgeries, is enjoying a “no time-table” life. Apart from doing other things, he watched Oscar nominated The Artist and said it was a “delight” to view the silent black and white French movie.

“Being by myself and almost in solitary confinement, is getting contagious. I am beginning to rather like this state. No where to go, nothing obligatory to perform, random timings and the liberty to do what I desire. I eat whenever, sleep whenever, watch a movie whenever and happy doing so,” Big B posted on his blog.

“The ‘little one’ comes up to meet me by the evening, wide eyed and now on the verge of recognizing things…On occasion she smiles and the volume of affection around increases a few decibels. Wonder if she feels why we must change the tone of our sound during our conversations with her, and whether it really helps to connect more effectively. Always a mystery.” he wrote. More

Salman Khan’s Another Face Of Social Life

Salman Khan, who runs charity organisation Being Human for underprivileged people, feels that due to media coverage movie stars tend to have an edge over others who sincerely work toward the betterment of society. And he is not too happy about it.

“We (celebrities) have an edge because we are there on every TV and every screen, good films, bad films, stuff like what we do in restaurants…So, we are there all over and we have an advantage over people who are really great people, and have not been given the coverage because of TRP ratings,” the 46-year-old said here.

“It sucks because if you are doing that kind of (social) work, and nobody knows about you, it’s weird,” he added.

Salman Khan keeps doing his bit as a socially concerned citizen. He sells his paintings, and the proceeds are used for the welfare of the underprivileged.

Last seen in “Bodyguard,” Salman Khan will soon be seen sharing screen space with ex-flame Katrina Kaif in “Ek Tha Tiger.” Source

Shahrukh Khan’s Mannat Is Again In Court Limelight

The controversy over Shah Rukh Khan’s palatial bungalow ‘Mannat’ has reached the Supreme Court with the filing of a petition alleging violations by the megastar while constructing his dream house.

The petition has alleged that there were violations of archaeological laws and coastal regulation zone in the construction of Mannat.

Simpreet Singh and Amit Maruand of Mumbai approached the apex court challenging the Bombay High Court’s order which had dismissed their petition against Khan.

The high court had, on January 28, dismissed the PIL filed by the duo and imposed a cost of Rs 20,000 on them saying that it was a “publicity petition”.

The PIL had alleged that the actor had constructed the building inside the compound of his bungalow in violation of environment and heritage laws.

Khan had, however, contended that there was no violation of rules and the construction was allowed by the municipal body. Source

Kangna Has Been Picked For Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2

After Kareena walked off from the project earlier this month, it was tough for Ekta and director Milan Luthria to find a suitable replacement for her in the sequel. Now, the tinsel town is abuzz with rumours that Ekta Kapoor has finally found her heroine for the sequel of her superhit film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (OUATIM). Kangana Ranaut is said to be playing Dawood Ibrahim’s (Akshay Kumar) alleged love interest in the sequel.

Why Kangana Ranaut? According to sources, a couple of names were considered, but somewhere the makers felt that a performing actress was more needed than a starry name. Initially they weren’t considering Kangana as she has already played an actress, Rehana in the first OUATIM. But when it comes to acting who else could do justice to the role of Mandakini than Kangana. More

Akshay Kumar Takes Stringent Action Against A Website For Spreading Rumours

Akshay Kumar might be playing the lead role in Rowdy Rathore but the Khiladi is quite the law-abiding citizen in real life, it seems. Recently, there had been reports on a website that Akshay Kumar’s marriage to Twinkle Khanna is on the rocks and that the couple is contemplating a divorce.

However, instead of letting loose a few karate kicks for which he is famous, Akki, as he is popularly known, is contemplating legal action against the website and is also in talks with lawyers for the same.

A source was quoted to have said, “He just wants to send across a message that he is not going to let anyone talk rubbish about his marriage. He is irritated with the people who have been calling to ‘offer support and advice to Twinkle in such tough times’.” More
