Vikram Bhatt Is Not The Director Of ‘Hate Story’, Why?
Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming film HATE STORY is creating enough noise for its bold and titillating trailer. However, to our surprise the film which is directed by Vivek Agnihotri was earlier supposed to be directed by Vikram. Vikram, who has penned the script of the film, wanted to direct the film.
Vikram reveals, ”HATE STORY script is written by me. This is one film which I wanted to direct from quite sometime.”
However, ask Vikram what transpired him to entrust the directorial reigns to filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and he says, ”Firstly I didn’t have time enough as I’m already occupied with other projects. Secondly and most importantly HATE STORY being highly bold film there are longer sexual scenes which I thought Vivek would be a better person to shoot it.”
Vikram has directed enough bold movies and bold scenes in the past. ”Yes I have directed enough bold scenes in the past in films like KASOOR, FAREB, RAAZ, RED – THE DARK SIDE, etc. but that has been long back,” he adds.
HATE STORY may be Vikram Bhatt’s brainchild but he thinks the film needed a fresh treatment and Vivek is the right person.
”I wanted to give the film a young appeal so I thought it’s better to have a young filmmaker like Vivek Agnihotri. As young filmmakers posses different kind of energies,” says the no-nonsense filmmaker.
The movie features debutant Paoli Dam, Nikhil Dwivedi and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles. Source
