Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan admits that star kids have an edge over outsiders as they are aware of the way the industry functions.

“Many people come from outside in the film industry. Of course, star kids have the edge and advantage of being associated with the star families. They grow up in the film family so they know how things work and what they have to do,” Arbaaz said at the premiere of the movie Challo Driver here.

Meanwhile, Arbaaz is looking forward to the release of his brother Salman’s “Ek Tha Tiger“, which is set to hit screens this Independence Day.

“‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is looking interesting, even the promos are interesting. An image is created to see the film when you watch the promo and it has been the longest gap for bhai (Salman Khan),” he said.

“I think till now there has been no such long gap of almost a year. His last film released on Eid and this one is also releasing on Eid. There was no film in between so everybody is excited,” he added.

It’s a known fact now that Salman Khan won’t be beginning ‘Dabangg 2′ before next year. However brother Arbaaz Khan had been devising a Plan B earlier to mitigate this situation. The latest though is that the actor turned producer and now also the director (with ‘Dabangg 2′) has decided not to go ahead with a quickie that he was earlier contemplating to make during the interim period before he gets ‘Dabangg 2′ on floors.

“Yes, there was a possibility of doing that but I guess there is no point going ahead with that. If at all I have to make any film other than Salman, it has to be with an A-lister. Now dates of none of the top stars are currently available. And if I think of making a film with a smaller star or say a newcomer, it requires all the more effort to make them understand expectations and then further market and promote the film,” says Arbaaz. Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan is upset over reports speaking of trouble in his married life and says all is well between him and his wife Malaika Arora Khan.

A daily had recently reported that Malaika has shifted to her mom’s place due to a major scuffle between the two, but the Dabangg producer says the two are very much together.

“Let me clarify one last time that Malaika and me are very much together… gossip mongers and stupid malicious reporting about us should stop,” Arbaaz posted on his Twitter page on Thursday.

The evening started with the DABANGG’s Starcast – Arbaaz Khan, Abhinav Kashyap , Sonakshi Sinha, Maliaka Arora Khan and Reliance BIG Home Video Chief Operating Officer – Sweta Agnihotri being welcomed on stage.

Arbaaz started the evening by mentioning that he was happy to be associated with Reliance Big Home Video and was sure that the Home Video of DABANGG would do as well as the Film and urged the consumers to buy the original DVD, which is why the movie has been released on Home Video within four weeks of theatrical.

He also stated that it is important that producers realize that original content has to reach the consumer at the earliest and this will help in curbing piracy. He also announced that DABANGG 2 starring the superstar Salman Khan & Sonakshi will go on floors very soon. More

Arbaaz Khan is all set to start his own production house. He has decided to cast his elder brother’s love interest Katrina Kaif in his first movie. Now who will be disappointed by Arbaaz’s decision of casting Katrina and not them? It’s none other than his beloved better half Malaika Arora Khan. Everyone is aware of the fact that Malaika doesn’t get along with her brother-in-law’s girlfriend at all. And quite apparently hubby Arbaaz’s decision has disappointed her big time.

“It is very awkward when you do a lovemaking scene because as I said it is not a very conducive atmosphere to do a lovemaking scene on a film set but fortunately I have a great rapport with my co-star Priyanka and we were very professional,” says the actor.

“My forthcoming film, it is a story about three principle characters – husband, wife and an imaginary lover. It is directed by a female director, Madhugeeta Anand and it is a very interesting film. The second one is my own home production called Kissan and it is a drama film,” says Arbaaz.

While brothers Salman and Sohail seem most comfortable doing comedy, Arbaaz prefers doing slightly grey roles. “I think I can essay roles of the kind I have been doing so far. The ones which are on the edge, grey shade or negative roles. There is a certain amount of ease may be it comes very naturally to me,” he adds. Source

“Both of them have played total politics against me, even the audience misguided me,” jokes Sohail. But when even Arbaaz failed to win the huge prize money, brother Sohail was rather upset.

“Arbaaz said before coming on the show, Khali haat aaye the, khali haat jayenge aur hum khali haat hi gaye (We came empty handed, will leave empty handed and it’s true as we left empty handed from the show,” says Sohail.

Salman and Sohail on the other hand, did not miss out on a single opportunity to pull brother Arbaaz’s leg. But Arbaaz it seems is not complaining. “I am the always the target for jokes in the house. Bollywood brothers Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail will recreate the magic of the Seventies blockbuster Amar Akbar Anthony in a remake to be directed by none other than David Dhawan.

The comic caper about three brothers who have been separated during their childhood, had been directed by the late Manmohan Desai.
The plan is to have Salman play the role of Anthony, Arbaaz that of Amar, with Sohail to play Akbar. Katrina Kaif’s name is being thrown around to play the role made famous by the late Parveen Babi. The original Amar Akbar Anthony were Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, and each of the three actors has done such an excellent job of etching their characters in the film that they will be a very tough act to follow. The task will be made even more ardous by the fact that neither Arbaaz or Sohail are really known for their acting skills. Neither is Salman for that matter, but he at least has stardom on his side.
