Kareena Kapoor has been rising high in her career day after day and movie after movie. She has become the leading actress in the tinsel town on her own and her charm is just incomparable. With her upcoming movie Heroine there are talks about her getting National Award. But if she wants the same is what happens to be the big question of the hour.

As heard Bebo isn’t willing to take on the National Award for the Madhur Bhandarkar movie but all she wants is the viewer to watch her movie and appreciate her hardwork.

The actress said, “I don’t want the national award… I seriously don’t need any such thing. I would only want the audience to go and watch the film once and that will be more than enough for me. Once everybody should see the movie and say it is a good watch.”

Actor Arjun Rampal is no longer part of Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of “Zanjeer”. He was earlier slated to essay the part of Sher Khan, played by Pran in the 1973 original, but date hassles played spoilsport.

“Arjun Rampal is not doing the film. He had some date issues so he could not do the film,” Lakhia told IANS.

The role was reportedly first offered to Sanjay Dutt even before Arjun was approached for it. But Lakhia dismissed it as mere speculation.

“It’s all media speculation. We never considered anyone else other than Arjun for this role. We have not yet decided who will be replacing Arjun in the film. Talks are on,” he added.

Produced by Amit Mehra and directed by Lakhia, the “Zanjeer” remake features southern star Ram Charan Teja as the male lead. He will reprise megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s role from the original.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar has come out in the open about the controversy over “Heroine” trailer and says they did not mean to demean anyone.

“We have censored it. It has been censored for Dubai and has been passed by the censor board. There are some people who have raised objections. But we did not mean to demean anyone, Dubai is my personal favourite city,” the 43-year-old said here in an interview.

In the trailer, Kapoor’s character says: “You media people should be writing scripts. If a heroine buys a car, it’s gifted to her by a businessman. If she goes to Los Angeles, she’s getting plastic surgery done and, God forbid, if she goes to Dubai, you people make a rate card for her.”

Giving clarification over the dialogue, Bhandarkar said: “When Kareena Kapoor says it in the film, she has this point of view that such is people’s perception.”

The director has said soon he will decide upon changes in the promo.

“I think there have been films where Dubai is linked with the underworld. The trailer we showed in Dubai was already censored and I’ll sit down with the producer and see what needs to be done,” he said.

A picture is worth a thousand words and the first look of Madhur Bhandarkar`s ‘Heroine’, with Kareena Kapoor lying upside down, wearing a golden attire, surrounded by film magazines, and an empty glass of wine thrown away, does just that for the movie.

She displays the range of a Bollywood actress in another poster, in which it seems she has gone back to her “Chameli” and “Chammak challo” avatar. She looks chic in a unique, red sari teamed with a daring, blue net blouse. The look is for an item song titled “Halkat jawaani”, and is also reminiscent of Vidya Balan’s look from “The Dirty Picture”.

Whether or not Heroine is a mix of Fashion and The Dirty Picture is something viewers will have to wait until its release on September 21.

You will almost certainly not see a ‘smoking’ hot Kareena Kapoor in Heroine, as shots of her smoking in the trailer of the film have been suppressed before being cleared.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has determined to blur all images of smoking from characteristic films.

We’ve taken a conclusion a few times back to show no smoking in trailers. This is because in a trailer, there can be no repudiation about smoking. In the full-length characteristic film, there has to be disclaimer about smoking at the commencement and after intermission. Even then the smoking sequences are blurred, said J.P. Singh, CBFC’s provincial officer in Mumbai.

The same hassle happened during the ‘Jism 2′ certification (Official Trailer for Jism 2 here)and there it was the love making scenes alone that caused the tiff. But all is well with Jism 2 camp, but the ‘Heroine’ team is not so cool about this. Madhur has however agreed to the new terms and is working on updating the promos.

Rock On, which was one of the movie which changed the way of movie making in B-Town. The movie released in 2008 directed by Farhan Akhtar, so they are back again to rock on.

Abhishek Kapoor, wrapping up the shoot of Kai Po Che, inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s The 3 Mistakes Of My Life, recently said: “We are working on the script of Rock On!! 2 right now. It will have the same team with some new characters coming in. I am happy and excited about it, hopefully by next year it will go on floors.”

The original stars, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli continue to play their respective characters in the sequel of the tumultuous friendship drama involving four rock band members. This time, Sharman Joshi could be joining them.

UTV Motion Pictures has announced the release dates of their upcoming film BARFEE!, JOKER and HEROINE today.

BARFI!, being a romantic murder mystery, stars Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of a deaf and mute person and Priyanka Chopra playing a mentally challenged girl. Tollywood actress Ileyana D’Cruz will be playing the narrator of the film.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Anurag Basu, who’s last movie KITES was a Box-office dud, BARFI! is slated to release on August 31, 2012 and has music by Pritam.

JOKER is an upcoming Hindi fantasy adventure film and the first 3D film directed by Shirish Kunder. Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Three’s Company and Hari Om Productions, the film will star Akshay Kumar opposite Sonakshi Sinha.

The film has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar and will hit the screens by September 14, 2012.

Though Arjun Rampal is busy shooting for Heroine, he has already started preparing for his next project Chakravyuh in which he is slated to essay a cop. As part of his preparations for the flick, he is keen to train in parkour.

A physical discipline of French origin, parkour involves quick movements from one place to another. This is enabled by doing exercises to make the body agile enough.

Earlier the actor had hit the gym ferociously for RA.One as he desired a certain physique to match his villainous character in the movie. Now as he readies to play a cop, he feels parkour can come handy to take on the lawbreakers.

His spokesperson states, “He will start training in parkour soon.” Several stars have indulged in parkour for their movies as well as for physical fitness. Arjun is the latest to join the bandwagon.

He is keen to apply his own bit to the screen persona by vaulting, rolling, climbing and jumping. For a while now, Arjun has also included Tabata, a high-intensity Japanese physical training, in his workout regime. Source

Arjun Rampal, who has just wrapped up the most exciting weekend of his life with pop icon Lady Gaga  in New Delhi, missed Hrithik Roshan’s presence at the do.

“I really wish Hrithik was there,” Rampal says. “He would’ve had a blast. But he isn’t allowed to travel. He has serious form of the slipped disc, which needs very careful recuperation. He can’t fly.
