Actor Boman Irani reveals that his wife Zenobia was excited to hear that Farah Khan will act opposite him in ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ and urged him to say yes to the movie.

“I said it’s (casting Farah) a great idea. I went home and told Zenobia (Boman’s wife) and she said ‘What a fantastic idea! Boman, if this is the casting, you must do this film just because of the casting’,” the 52-year-old said here.

None of them are big budget or star-studded offerings, but out of the three, “Shirin Farhad…” is hogging the maximum limelight as it marks the acting debut of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan.

An unusual romantic-comedy, the story revolves around 45-year-old Farhad Pastakiya (Boman Irani), a Parsi bachelor, who has not found love. One fine day he meets 40-year-old Shirin Fugawala (Farah), and he falls in love at first sight for Shirin.

But all hell breaks loose as Farhad’s mother Nargis realises that her son’s dream girl (Shirin) is her sworn enemy.

Co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunil A. Lulla, “Shirin Farhad…” also marks the directorial debut of Bhansali’s sister, Bela Sehgal.

In the film, Meghaa Banerjee (Bidita) flies to Sydney after getting a scholarship. She meets Rohit Khurana (Sharad) there and they gel well right from the start.

What follows is a fun, quirky and emotional love story.

After romantic and family comedy, there is “Delhi In A Day”, a dark comedy about the nouveau riche in Delhi.

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, an upcoming movie of Boman Irani and Farah Khan. This is the first ever movie for Farah Khan as a lead actress. She has been directing and producing movies and this is the first time she went for acting which we can say is a risk as well.

But the movie will be a bit different from the other movies. Recently the first song and the title song for the movie has released which is pretty good to hear and even the audiences have liked it very much.

One of the most expected movie for Vidhu Vinod Chopra has made it in the end. he was very confident about the movie where his freinds were not. he was suggested by his friends not to release this movie. but he did release this movie and has done it well as well. It was good to see Sharman Joshi performing well on screen. Bonam Irani is always good with his role.

Ferrari Ki Sawari is Sharman Joshi’s first solo hero film and has no female lead, but it has managed to pull in viewers and ended grossing about Rs.14 crore in the first three days of its release.

It started on a slow note on Friday with only 30-40% collections. But with good reviews and positive word of mouth, business picked up over the weekend and the collections showed a consistent upward trend. The first weekend collection has come to around Rs 13 crores which is decent for this film.

“The film is doing extremely well in all our cinemas. Friday we had around 60 percent occupancy while Saturday-Sunday had over 80 percent occupancy,” Anant Verma

On Friday, the film collected Rs.3.04 crore and the collections increased to Rs.4.5 crore on Saturday and on Sunday it was Rs.6.40 crore, making a total of almost Rs.14 crore.

Apart from the performances, the other highlights of the film are the sequences shot at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, actress Vidya Balan’s item number “Mala jao dya na ghari” and the red Ferrari, owned by cricket star Sachin Tendulkar.

“The response was slightly lukewarm on Friday but it picked up on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we had over 70-72 percent occupancy and was much better on Sunday. We have had largely family audiences, with lots of kids,” Gautam Dutta

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming FERRARI KI SAWAARI is in full swing winning accolades and appreciation from the filmy brigade including Karan Johar, Sanjay Dutt, and Amitabh Bachchan.

The film is getting all the eyeballs for the simplicity of the concept and the heartwarming performances.

Recently a special screening was held for Amitabh Bachchan. After watching the film Bachchan was so shaken up that he was in tears.

Actor Boman Irani has been asked to do a cameo in Karan Johar’s “Student of The Year”. He will most likely share screen space with his son Kayoze, who is making his acting debut with the film.

“In Bangkok for a special appearance in SOTY (‘Student of The Year’). Might just share screen space with my son Kayoze for the first time. Hope the blighter is nervous,” Boman tweeted.

“Student of The Year” is Johar’s next directorial project after his 2010 film “My Name Is Khan”.

The film, being co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan, will also be a launch pad for three other newbies — former model Siddharth Malhotra, David Dhawan’s son Varun and Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Aalia. Source
