Earlier Salman Khan and Himesh Reshammiya were good buddies but in Bollywood ego usually plays the villain. But their bitterness did’nt last long. They kissed and patched up on the sets of Dus Ka Dum at RK Studios, Chembur, indicating a thawing-out for the first time since their problems peaked in 2006. Salman and Himesh hugged four times on the sets and they met like long lost friends. Shenaz Treasuryvala and Sonal Sehgal, Himesh’s co-stars in the forthcoming film Radio, accompanied him.

 Salman, who is very clear about his choices, had no issues when the channel invited Himesh to participate in the show. A source from the channel said, “Salman is consulted before sending out any invitation. Only when he showed no apprehensions about inviting Himesh, was he invited.”
Seeing Salman’s warm reception, Himesh was overwhelmed. Another source who was present at the shoot said, “Salman and Himesh were very comfortable with each other. Unlike the past, Salman did not take any digs at Himesh. The shoot wrapped up much sooner than expected.”
Anita Basu, who was present at the shoot with her husband (producer of the show, Siddharth Basu), confirmed that there were surprisingly warm vibes between the two. She said, “Salman and Himesh definitely shared very good chemistry and the show went off very well.” More

Himesh Reshammiya’s third film as an actor Kajraare, a T-Series’ production is all set to be a Diwali release. Directed by actress Pooja Bhatt the film stars opposite Himesh, Pakistani actress Mona Laizza apart from Amrita Singh and Gulshan Grover. The release date for the film is scheduled as October 16th. But on the same day two more biggies are slated for release, thats Hrithik Roshan – Barbara Mori - Kangana Ranaut starrer Kites and Ajay Devgan’s home production All The Best staring Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Ajay himself.

Kajraare is supposedly, a modernised remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Pooja Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. But this move to release it on Diwali day seems no less than a hara-kiri claims trade pundits. Himesh began his acting career with a bang with a musical hit like Aap Ka Surroor but his next release, the Karz remake titled Karzzzz was a big turkey at the ticket window. His Kajraare was to release much earlier but reportedly, the on going recession took toll on it and the schedules kept getting pushed ahead. Now as its nearing completion, the makers are planning for a Diwali release. But with big mega budget oppositions like Kites and All The Best, we just hope the makers give the release date a rethink or else Himesh might have to work harder to prove himself yet again as an actor. Himesh Reshammiya, who is quite positive about proving a point all over again with his upcoming films as an actor, had completely given up eating sweets for last few months. Though he carries a sweet tooth, during the shoot of his under production film ‘Ishk Unplugged’ he made a strong resolve that he wouldn’t touch any of them till the shoot got over.

Well, true to his promise, he stayed miles away from sweets during a non-stop 65 days schedule of the film, only to gobble up a dozen odd pieces of ‘Kaju Katri’, his favourite sweet, on the last day of the film’s shoot.

Reveals a source who saw it all happening on the film’s sets, “Everyone knows that Himesh loves sweets. In fact it was quite a challenge for him to stay away from sweets for all these weeks but he ensured that he didn’t break his healthy regime. Well done, Himesh. Source

Buzz is that the producer who is trying hard to convince Himesh to sign his next venture is being subjected to delaying tactics by the superstar.

The multi-talented Himesh Reshammiya and the director of his upcoming film Kajra Re, Pooja Bhatt are in a big trouble. They have been making their film for over a year now but still a significant portion of the film’s shooting of the film is left. Pakistani actress Monalaizza had been signed opposite Himesh for this film loosely based on Pooja Bhatt starrer Sadak. But now since the shooting had been postponed, the girl went back to Pakistan and started working on other Pakistani movies so that she could earn her bread and butter and she does not have the dates to shoot for the film. The film had been earlier put on hold following the economic slowdown and the threat of recession within the film industry as well.

But now Monalaizza seems to be really busy and there’s no sign of her coming back to India and shoot. Himesh’s turned his nose up and is refusing to call her. Pooja Bhatt has been desperately trying to call her, but to no avail. The film’s producer Bhushan Kumar of T Series is waiting to know when the film will finally get completed. Source

Preity Zinta: ‘What am I doing for Holi? Nothing. Sleeping the whole day. Recovering from my jet lag after my trip to New Zealand. In any case, I think Holi has lost its original spirit long back.’

Celina Jaitley: ‘This Holi I’m in Hyderabad. I’ll be spending it with the cast and crew.’

We’ve already reported about the fact how Himesh Reshammiya had refused to sing for A R Rahman. But Rahman says he has never met Reshammiya.

Laughs the soft spoken maestro sarcastically, “Our communication has been only through the press. He told the press he wanted to sing for me. I told the press I had composed a song that would suit his voice. To this he replied again through the press that he didn’t want to sing for me. We’ve not met. We haven’t exchanged a call or an sms.”

Rahman finds it strange that after hounding him for so long Reshammiya changed his mind. “For the past two years I had been reading about how he wanted to sing for me. As a gesture returning his compliment I thought this song would be perfect. I didn’t know he would sing for me only when I compose for a film starring him. I don’t know if I can do that,” say Rahman who turns 41 in January. Source

Trust Himesh Reshammiya to be ever so ready when it comes to surprising people. Post Karzzzz, all seemed to be quiet on the front of the man who had a lot riding on the much publicized film. While there was a lot being written about the film post its release, Himesh Reshammiya chose to maintain silence and concentrated on his next move.

2008 came to an end and still there wasn’t any trace of Himesh. This was the time when talks around his films getting shelved started catching up on steam.

Himesh Reshammiya can’t believe what he has heard. At a press conference on Thursday, Aamir Khan went out of his way to praise Himesh calling him a master of marketing. “So much so that wherever and whenever I see a topi, I think of Himesh,” said Aamir.

Though a lot of people felt Aamir was being ironical, Himesh of course chooses to take the seeming compliments on their face value.

“I am a huge fan of Mr Aamir Khan. He’s a legend. And what a coincidence that I’m shooting for a film where I play a tapori who’s a big fan of Aamir Khan. The role is inspired by Mr. Khan’s in Rangeela. In fact my director is John Mathew who directed Mr. Khan in Sarfarosh. Both of us just can’t stop talking about him.”

Says Himesh, “If Mr. Khan has spoken so well about me, I won’t even think of questioning it. I take his words as a big compliment. . I’ve been hearing some terrific stories about Mr. Khan’s dedication from John Matthew. I must say he’s very very inspiring.” Source

Salman Khan refused the offer made by T-Series to do a cameo in Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming film Kajraare, starring Himesh.

According to a source, after the debacle of Karzzz, T-Series realized that Himesh would not be able to carry a film on his shoulder alone. Thus, to add star value to the film they wanted to rope in Salman. Apparently, after his spat with SRK, Salman has taken a lesson to not go out of his way and do anything for anyone. Previous to this, he refused a cameo offer for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi too.

However, our source insists that Salman doesn’t want anybody to cash on his name while promoting a film. Some also see Himesh’s association with Kajraare as Salman’s reason to deny the offer. Our source further added that with Salman refusing to do the bit, T-Series now needs a big star as a big box office draw. The musician, the singer, the actor Himesh Reshammiya has recently turned down the offer from maestro of music A.R. Rehman politely and instead requested Rahman to give music for one of his films where he will act and sing too.

Rahman was very keen to have Himesh sing a certain composition as he felt that Himesh’s voice would suit the song very well. The song in question was being made for a big budget film. However sticking to his new policy to sing and compose only for the films he will act in, Himesh refused to sing for Rehman.

Further, it seems Himesh truly has a head for economics. Its recession time and Himesh has realised that to survive in the industry, he needs a lot of films to keep him floating through the bad times. And the best way to go about it, is to reduce the remuneration fees. Himesh has cut his price. And to top it, he gives free music in the films he acts, as an added bonus.

Himesh Reshammiya is just about everywhere these days. The promos of his soon to be released Karzzzz are being beamed on air and are quite impressive. The film’s posters too, featuring him with a blazing guitar are bound to have an impact. So it seems that our man is quite carried away and is contemplating a triple role in his next film.

Originally, the actor was planning a sequel to his Aap ka Suroor with his director friend Prashant Chaddha. But now it seems he has changed his mind. The actor is mulling over two projects these days. One of them is about triplets and the other is a romantic drama. It seems that Himesh is quite taken up with the script which features triplets. All indications are that he will go ahead with this script. Prashant and Himesh have been wanting to make another film together. Initially, it was to be a sequel to Aap Ka Suroor but now with Himesh’s new look and styling, they have decided to capitalize on that and go ahead with a new film altogether.

Prashant and Himesh plan to start the film sometime next year. If all goes according to plan, then Himesh may just end up playing triplets on screen. Incidentally, in a coincidence of sorts, the release date of Karzzzz has been set for October 17, the birthday of the original Kamini, Simi Garewal. Apparently, it has been planned in such a way. In the remake, the role of Kamini is being essayed by Urmila Matondkar. Source
