Sonal Chauhan and Neil Nitin Mukesh had ball on 3-G sets

The shooting of movies are surely fun time for the film stars and it was on the sets of the upcoming movie 3-G which is produced by Eros Entertainment in association with Next Gen Films when Sonal Chauhan and Neil Nitin Mukesh had good time.

Whenever time permitted, the entire team of the psychological thriller, including Sonal’s sister Himani and Neil’s brother Naman, who is also working as one of the assistant directors on the film, would catch up on movies, their favorite being the animated one’s like THE LION KING, MONSTER HOUSE, FINDING NEMO, MADAGASCAR, ICE AGE and TOY STORY series -Apart from that, card games were another favorite pastime, not to mention, games on their tablet computers.

Whenever they got spare time the entire cast and crew which also included Sonal’s sister and Neil’s brother, would catch up for animated movies like The Lion King, Monster House, Ice Age, Finding Nemo Toy Story or would play cards or games on their tablets. They really had a good time at the island.

A unit source said, “Shooting in Fiji for about two months, gave the entire cast a crew time to bond. Everyone was like a family unit, staying up until the wee hours of the morning playing cards or watching back-to-back films. In fact, Sonal was never into animated flicks; however, we’ve got her addicted to them. She was also very lucky during card games and would always end up winning.”

Players – Will The 1st Release Of 2012 Rock Everyone?

A general assumption in Bollywood is that films that release in January are not blockbuster hits. But, NO ONE KILLED JESSICA came in with a bang in January 2011 and broke the conventional January curse. The Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan film, which had no male superstar, grossed nearly Rs. 30.220 crore.

Now the Abbas – Mastan film PLAYERS, which is an official remake of THE ITALIAN JOB, is releasing on January 6, 2012. Stupendous action stunts, glamorous scenes and more importantly the Abbas – Mastan style thriller stand as the ultra selling points of the film. Moreover, the promotional events have also created a certain amount of buzz.

The multi-starrer film which casts Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu is expected to mint money. Source

Neil Nitin Is Happy To Play Negative Shade In Players

After playing the anti- hero in Johnny Gaddaar and a grey character in 7 Khoon Maaf, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh will be once again seen playing a negative character in the upcoming heist thriller Players and the actor seemed quite kicked about being bad on screen.

Neil was quoted to have said, “The bad guy is in! The world today is cut out for the bad guy…and if that’s what women like, I shall give it to them. I want to play characters on screen that are completely in contrast to what I am off-screen. It’s a challenge because I awaken that side which is dormant and it gives my personality a complete flip.”

Neil also added that the performances of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in Don and Baazigar are a source of constant inspiration to him. Incidentally, SRK recently essayed the role of the criminal mastermind Don, which had been played by Amitabh Bachchan a few decades ago and Neil Nitin Mukesh was rumoured to have been finalised to essay the character of Khan in the Baazigar remake, though director duo Abbas-Mustan later denied the rumours. The Chemistry Between Neil Nitin & Bipasha Basu

Due to the fact that Neil Nitin Mukesh is playing a computer wizard in the film, many have equated his characterization to that of Ed Norton in THE ITALIAN JOB, the Hollywood action thriller which has been adapted by PLAYERS. The actor had a similar role to play there though Neil insists that things have been twisted in a big way for PLAYERS. Further to that he adds that ‘Spider’ (the name of his character) has a very high cool quotient to him.

“This coolness comes from the fact that Spider cares a damn,” smiles Neil, “He is confident of himself and doesn’t try too hard to be noticed. Personally, even I am also like that as I too believe that coolness should come from within yourself. You can wear Armani, Prada or Louise Vitton and still look fake or instead you could pick up stuff from ‘Fashion Street’ (Mumbai) and still come across as cool and confident. It’s the personality that matters which brings with the confidence and coolness quotient.”

This means that while Neil is definitely taking the cool route with PLAYERS, there is Bipasha Basu who has gone all hot and sultry all over again as ‘Riya’. Since the two have already worked together in AA DEKHEN ZARA before, was it the case of some old times being remembered when they reunited for PLAYERS? More

Neil’s Villainous Role In Players To Wipe All

Neil Nitin Mukesh’s patience seems to have paid off. Though his last release LAFANGEY PARINDEY (which had arrived close to a year and a half ago) was a decent success, he faced a few torrid months ahead with not much exciting coming his way. The sole biggie in his hand was PLAYERS and it was nothing less than a gamble that he played. Guess this worked in his favour because if insiders are to be believed, he has totally stolen the show in this thrilling affair.

“He plays a villain in PLAYERS and if one goes by the track record of Abbas-Mustan, in each of their films villains have a strong part to play,” comments an expert, “If you look at some of their major films in the past, the actor enacting the character of a villain has always walked away with all the laurels. Whether it was Shahrukh Khan (BAAZIGAR), Arbaaz Khan (DARAAR), Akshay Kumar (AJNABEE), Priyanka Chopra (AETRAAZ) or Akshaye Khanna (HUMRAAZ) – each of these actors has stolen the show whenever they have been required to turn grey or be out and out black.” More

Asin & Neil Nitin Mukesh In Ravi Chopra’s ‘Pocketmaar’

Here’s some really spicy news for all. South Indian beauty Asin Thottumkal and Neil Nitin Mukesh could well be the next B-Town couple.

Buzz has it that the lady who has been cast opposite Neil in Ravi Chopra’s upcoming flick ‘Pocketmaar’ has been having a gala time in the company of legendry singer Mukesh’s grandson.

Apparently, the two actors have been seeking advice from each other on what kind of roles they should opt for. Neil has even been suggesting what brand of car Asin should go for.

Like all lovebirds, Asin and Neil have tried hard to keep their relationship under wraps.

Neil had recommended Asin’s name to director Hriday Shetty to cast her opposite him in the filmmaker’s flick. And Neil’s demand to have her on board raised a lot of eyebrows. On being approached, Asin took Shetty by surprise.

Talking to the tabloid, a source said, “Hriday was shocked when Asin not only refused the offer but also told him the role wouldn`t suit Neil either.” More

Neil Mukesh & Asin – Something Is Cooking Between Them

If this titbit is true, then Asin is just trying to be happy with whatever comes her way. Earlier the actress had set out on B-town journey with a determination that she will share the screen only with exclusive stars like the Khans and Hrithik Roshan. Moreover, she had even rejected film offers which had current young screen heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan….

However of late, the industry is abuzz that Asin has allegedly signed a movie, starring Neil Nitin Mukesh. Titled ‘Pocketmaar’, the film will be helmed by Ravi Chopra.

Grapevines reveal that something is brewing between the two actors and both seems to be feeling quite comfortable in each others company.

Some also say that ‘Pocketmaar’ was initially offered to several leading actresses, but due to certain issues they rejected the film and it landed in Asin’s court.

Well, now one can expect clarification reports tumbling from the concerned parties…. But till then one can be assured that Asin is here to stay in Bollywood gossip columns for sure. Source

Neil Nitin Is A Fearless Actor

Five films old, plenty of critical acclaim but no real box-office success yet… Neil Nitin Mukesh takes everything in his “positive stride” and says he finds it gratifying that his directors are approaching him again to be part of their films.

“I don`t fear failure at all as it is a step towards success. Failure is something that teaches you and helps to keep you grounded,” Neil told reporters. Instead of making his debut with the usual love story, Neil chose a negative role in the 2007 crime thriller “Johnny Gaddar”. Though the film was not a commercial success, both the film and Neil earned critical appreciation.

Then followed “Aa Dekhen Zara”, “Jail”, “New York” and “Lafangey Parindey” — all average grossers at the box office.

“To be very honest I`m delighted with the fact that with all the films I did, the producers of those did not suffer losses. At least they recovered their costs. Moreover, most of the directors I worked with earlier are approaching me again to be a part of their films, which is very gratifying as an actor,” Neil, 28, said.

He says he is humbled by the fact that he had fans who liked him. “I have given my best always. I have been born and brought up in such an environment where my parents taught me to be neutral. I take everything in a positive stride.” More
