RAAJNEETI has recorded by far the best opening of the year by collecting nearly 10.50 crore net on its first day. The collections are just huge in Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan with South being good but lower comparatively.

This is the second highest opening ever after 3 IDIOTS (12.98 crores where we need to remember 25th December was the opening day). RAAJNEETI is closely followed by KITES (10.04 cr) and HOUSEFULL (9 crores).The collections are the second highest first day total however with 30% lesser shows at multiplexes than films like KITES and HOUSEFULL which were the second and third biggest first day openers respectively before RAAJNEETI.

Zoya Akhtar seems to be emerging as a very adventurous filmmaker, indeed! While Farhan Akhtar is learning sky diving in Spain for sister Zoya’s upcoming flick ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, rest of the cast members too is gearing up for full-on action for their respective roles in the movie. Not just Farhan, Katrina Kaif too is going through some serious training to prep up for the much-awaited multi-starrer flick. Katrina has reportedly learnt dirt biking, whereas actor Abhay Deol has been trained as a deep-sea diver for the same.

However, while Kat and Abhay are apparently through with their training, Farhan is still taking classes on sky diving in Spain. Grapevine has it that heartthrob Hrithik Roshan too will have to get a knack of the art for the flick.

While talking to a news daily, a source said, “The movie is going on the floors this weekend and Zoya, Abhay and Farhan are already in Spain. Not wasting any time, Farhan has started training already. For the first time that he went on to jump from the plane, he did it for fun, to experience the 50 seconds freefall before he opened the parachute. He totally loved the experience and wants to do it again and again.” More

After so many fights and dramas there is finally a good news in bollywood. It seems that Sanjay Dutt has finally forgiven Bollywood’s jinxed actor Vivek Oberoi for his unceremonious remarks against his wife Manyata, as the former was seen hugging Vivek in public.
 
It is believed that the cold war between Sanjay and Vivek started almost four years ago, when Vivek made nasty comments against Manyata Dutt, whom Sanjay had just begun dating. However, Vivek’s curt remarks enraged Sanjay to such an extent that the latter cut off all his ties with the erring star.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “It was quite a shock to see Sanjay walk up to Vivek and give him a hug. Sanjay’s gesture was quite sweet, and Vivek too returned him a big hug. It looked like one big happy family once again.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Vivek confirmed the news and said, “Vivek is very touched by this magnanimous gesture of Sanju. In the past, he had sent SMSs to clear the misunderstanding, but Sanjay seemed very upset with him then. Now that everything is sorted, Vivek is happy to revive his old friendship with Dutt.” More

Mani Ratnam’s passionate period film Lajjo, set during the Partition with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, is all set to be revived. It was earlier set aside after the songs had been written by Gulzar and composed by AR Rahman because the budget for a Partition film was considered prohibitive.

But now with Aamir and Kareena’s jodi in 3 Idiots proving to be a rage, there were discussions with Mani to look into the project again. According to a source, Mani plans to go into Lajjo before he begins his film with Ranbir Kapoor.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan too likes perfection and was irritated with himself when he couldn’t deliver his best during a shooting schedule for his home production “Ra.One”.

“Awful day at shoot…acted badly…did awful action…and gave suggestions without understanding them myself. Delayed the shoot,” Shah Rukh posted on social networking site Twitter.

“Everybody believes tomorrow will be better… I hope everybody is right. I think I should just forget it…move on..shower…feed my face, watch a film…,” he added.

It is also being said that Ajay Devgn has already been approached to play the controversial character, but has reservations about taking on the role .

In case he doesn’t, Irrfan Khan too is being considered. Percept boss Shailendra Singh, who’s producing the bipopic on Modi, to be directed by Shamim Desai, has reportedly not denied the news.
