Its hard to believe but Saif Ali Khan has delivered a box office disaster. Incidentally this is his fourth box office failure in a row over last 12 months, what with ROADSIDE ROMEO (where he did the voiceover), THODA PYAAR THODA MAGIC and TASHAN being mighty flops in themselves.

Ok, so let’s reveal the suspense. This film in question is SANAM TERI KASAM, an age old project featuring Saif Ali Khan in lead along with Saif Ali Khan, which was revived a few days back and has expectedly went completely unnoticed. In fact majority of cast and crew members of the film were not even aware that SANAM TERI KASAM, which was earlier known as YEH PYAAR HI TO HAI, had even released on 22nd May 2009 at a mere 15 cinemas. Brain, not brawn is what impresses Asin. While once again scorching rumours of a link-up with Salman Khan, Asin admits she’s going ga ga over the Bollywood bad boy’s wit and sense of humour. The South Indian beauty, who made her debut in Hindi films with the blockbuster Ghajini, claims she’s enjoying every minute of working with co-stars Salman and Ajay Devgan in Vipul Shah’s London Dreams.

According to her: Salman is my entertainment channel on the sets of London Dreams. Both he and Ajay leave no stone unturned to make me laugh. It’s really great working with both of them. It’s fun being part of the whole project. I am glad I got the opportunity to work with a director like Vipul Shah. Source

Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan seemed to enjoy each other’s company so much at a magazine launch party in Mumbai that it seemed they were childhood buddies.

“I think Imran is one of the most beautiful men that I have seen. He’s gorgeous. We are doing Dharma Production’s next. It’s a romantic-comedy, it has a great script” Sonam is quoted to have said at the event. In fact, Sonam was so enthused and giggly at the event that she did most of the talking while Imran managed to get a few words in the edgeways.

For instance, when Imran began telling about how he first met Sonam, she cut him short and offered to tell the story herself.  “I am a very good listener,” he teased her.

Throughout the evening there was an unmistakable repartee between the two. The banter, jokes and teasing between them only makes us want to see their bonhomie in Karan Johar’s production all the more. Source

The filmstars are turning superstitious a lot these days. R Madhavan who has just recently delivered a decent hit with thriller film, 13B or Thirteen B as you may call it now has at least three more films with each having titles starting with well you guessed it right, ‘T’. These T oops three film are, Rajkumar Hirani’s Three Idiots with Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti and Anand Raj’s romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu.

Madhavan may well have his fourth film with a ‘T’ beginning as well since the title of that film is yet to be finalized. This film is Navdeep Singh’s (of Manorama Six Feet Under fame) spy thriller being produced by Mukesh Talreja and Nikhil Advani which has Madhavan playing a key role along side Akshay Khanna and Shahana Goswami. Maybe, the producers and director are in search of a name for the film, beginning with ‘T’. And if that happens well it would definitely mean, Madhavan feels safe in T-Company. Source

Hrithik Roshan has been signed as the brand ambassador by Reliance Communications, the Anil Ambani company. “Hrithik will be the official face for the company’s mobile, data and DTH businesses. His new promotional campaign for the products is currently being shot in Bangkok and this new campaign is expected to break on air by beginning of June 2009. The new Reliance Mobile TV commercials with Hrithik Roshan will comprise of a series of 6-8 films capturing Hrithik using Reliance Mobile, which is considered India’s No 1 network.”

Sources further reveal, “RCOM zeroed in on Hrithik Roshan, as he not only has a pan-India appeal but an iconic stature amongst today’s youth.”

The company’s official speaking on condition of anonymity informed that RCOM believes Hrithik is a perfect brand-fit for Reliance Mobile as he stands for everything that Reliance as a brand epitomizes. Source

The violence on Indian students in Australia has been met with shock and concern from the Indian people. While all have condemned the attacks, not much has taken place to curb the culprits. The search is on say the Australian officials. Bollywood celebrities have not lagged behind in showing their contempt on the attacks. While Big B has denied an honour from Australia, Aamir Khan has expressed his concern for his Indian counterparts in Australia.

In his blog the actor was quoted describing the events as, “Most disturbing to hear about racist attacks on Indians living in Australia. Quite a shame.” Though not everyone is a culprit, this event brings shame on all the Australians. The actor has also pointed out that while strict action needs to be taken in this regard we Indians should also not forget the insults that have taken place on foreigners from India.

We hope the wrong doers are soon brought before law and punished accordingly. We also wish the victims of the attack make a quick recovery from the physical as well as the mental trauma that they have undergone. Source

Akshay Kumar has always been appreciated for his daredevil stunts in films, and his recent act for much awaited KAMBAKKHT ISHQ seems to be even more heroic. Akshay recently shot for one of the brave action sequences in KAMBAKKHT ISHQ which saw him jumping through fire with a jet ski.

Refusing for a body double, Akki was hell bent on doing the scene himself. However, the rule at the studio they were shooting made clear that if an actor wants to do his stunt, he has to pass a test, which would be judged by a panel of six stunt directors. Of course, Akki successfully passed the test and hence, was allowed to carry on with the shoot. Along with riding the jet ski, the action sequence also has Akshay jumping from a water ski to a speed boat and finally using a chopper.

But fierce fighter Akshay was absolutely cool about the stunt and managed to pull it off extremely well. He isn’t nicknamed the ‘Khiladiyon ka Khiladi’ for namesake! Source

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been married a couple of times, but only in news, not in real life. If one moment the duo declares that marriage is soon to be held then the next moment they denied getting married so early. Now unsurprisingly another gossip is doing the rounds that the couple is soon going to get married and this time it has come straight from the mouth of the bridegroom Saif Ali Khan.

Chotte Nawab confessed that marriage is going to take place very soon. He said, “Oh yes, much sooner. In fact, people may be hearing an announcement from us very soon. If I had my way, I’d marry her today right here in London where she’s joined me. In any case, aren’t we supposed to have gone through a secret Muslim marriage?”

Kareena who keeps on saying that she is not yet ready for marriage at this high point of her career might have changed her decision and said yes to her Saiffu dear and why not getting married will not end her career as there are many actresses who are doing exceptionally well in career and family. Himesh Reshammiya’s third film as an actor Kajraare, a T-Series’ production is all set to be a Diwali release. Directed by actress Pooja Bhatt the film stars opposite Himesh, Pakistani actress Mona Laizza apart from Amrita Singh and Gulshan Grover. The release date for the film is scheduled as October 16th. But on the same day two more biggies are slated for release, thats Hrithik Roshan - Barbara Mori - Kangana Ranaut starrer Kites and Ajay Devgan’s home production All The Best staring Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Ajay himself.

Kajraare is supposedly, a modernised remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Pooja Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. But this move to release it on Diwali day seems no less than a hara-kiri claims trade pundits. Himesh began his acting career with a bang with a musical hit like Aap Ka Surroor but his next release, the Karz remake titled Karzzzz was a big turkey at the ticket window. His Kajraare was to release much earlier but reportedly, the on going recession took toll on it and the schedules kept getting pushed ahead. Now as its nearing completion, the makers are planning for a Diwali release. But with big mega budget oppositions like Kites and All The Best, we just hope the makers give the release date a rethink or else Himesh might have to work harder to prove himself yet again as an actor. Deepika Padukone is the latest choice of Rakesh Roshan because he has decided to rope the dusky beauty for ‘Krrish 2’ opposite beta Hrithik Roshan.  However, a close source reveals, “After the success of ‘Krrish’, the Roshans decided to go ahead with the sequel of the movie. Their first priority was to finish with ‘Kites’ and then work on ‘Krrish 2’. ‘Kites’ is almost done and is in the post-production stage. Rakesh Roashan`s production house FilmKraft is working on ‘Krrish 2’. They are at an infant stage and still working on script and the star cast, but it obviously includes Hrithik as the actor.”

The source maintained, “The layout of the script is ready and it will see Hrithik in a superhero avatar once again. He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World, so naturally the film will be shot extensively at various foreign locations. Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. Like the prequel, this too will have SFX and a big crew of foreign technicians.” If this happens then Deepika will replace Priyanka Chopra in the sequel. Source
