The entire team of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision and Eros International’s upcoming movie ROCKSTAR recently made a trip to Punjab for the promotion of their movie.

In Punjab, they visited Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The team also took out time from their promotional schedule to visit the beautiful Golden Temple in Amritsar.

While Ranbir Kapoor, director Imtiaz Ali and producer Hiren Gandhi visited the holy place at 4 in the morning, the film’s heroine, newbie Nargis Fakhri visited the temple the next morning at 11am. More

Do you remember the pretty girls dancing with Kareena Kapoor in JAB WE MET’s hit number ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’? They were professional dancers from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) who specialize in the folk dance of Tibet.

Apparently, Director Imtiaz Ali was so impressed by their talent that he decided to shoot with them once again while working on ROCKSTAR.

A source from the production team says, ‘Imtiaz and team were shooting for ROCKSTAR in Dharamshala for a concert sequence for ‘Saadda Haq’ and required a lot of dancers. He suggested calling the same group of performers from Shimla with whom he had worked during JAB WE MET. He wanted to connect with them once again after the film. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was keen to meet with the ‘men at the border’ and immediately jumped at the opportunity to travel to Nahan, Himachal Pradesh , home to the 1 para Batallion, comprising some of iNida’s finest commandos.

Taking some time out from his professional commitments, Ranbir spent the day with the Jawans and even got a firsthand look at the challenges and training they have to undergo, having participated in some of the activities himself.

Grapevines of late are going on that the Badshah Shahrukh Khan has been replaced by youngistan dude Ranbir Kapoor in the much-talked project ‘Two States’, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The film, which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller of same title, was earlier reported to be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. It was supposed to be the first movie which brings together the talented filmmaker and King Khan. However, there seems to be change of plans and now Karan Johar will be taking on the production department along with Nadiadwala.

It is said that due to some reasons Bharadwaj put ‘Two States’ on hold and instead started to work on a comedy, starring Ajay Devgn and Anushka Sharma in lead. Ranbir Kapoor & Director Imtiaz Ali visited the majestic Ganesh Idol at RK Studios at Chembur on Sunday morning to seek his blessings for the release of their forthcoming film ROCKSTAR.

Accompanied by Hiren Gandhi of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, Ranbir & Imtiaz arrived at RK Studios in the morning at 10am. After offering their prayers to Lord Ganpati, they even placed the film’s music CD at his feet for blessings.

The actor – director duo along with Hiren Gandhi did the Ganesh Aarti, after which they posed for the shutterbugs and then stepped down from the magnificently decorated pandal. They then proceeded towards a separate room where they spoke to the media about the movie – what it’s about, their experience of working together, the music of the film etc. More

The Sessions court on Thursday refused to stay the release of the film “Mere Brother ki Dulhan” after a civil suit filed by one BG Jadhav claimed the movie trailer had a scene that went against public health. While the court admitted the suit, the court refused to grant Jadhav’s demands to stay the release of the film.

Jadhav had moved court claiming that the scene that showed actor Katrina Kaif smoking a bidi was sending a “bad message” to the public. “Considering the impact that these personalities have on the young and the extent of their influence, the film should be released only after that scene is cut,” argued RN Kachave, Jadhav’s lawyer. Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is a charmer – while shooting for a scene with sex workers for his forthcoming film Rockstar, he sang for them to ease their tension before the shot.

A scene in Ranbir’s upcoming film Rockstar shows him playing the guitar and singing for sex workers and director Imtiaz Ali wanted to shoot it in a real location rather than creating sets, so the director decided to shoot it in Grant Road here.

On the day of the shoot, the women were excited at the prospect of meeting Ranbir but were even more nervous about the shoot. To help them feel comfortable, both Ranbir and Imtiaz had a friendly talk with them.

“They (the sex workers) were very shy initially. They were reluctant about coming in front of the camera… but Imtiaz and Ranbir spent some time talking to them and created a comfortable environment after which we commenced shooting,” said a source. More
