We all know that Shahid Kapur is good at acting but he is better as a host
and a friend. Well, this is what happened that he presented a farewell gift of
the whole new line of luggage to his dance trainer Mike when he returned home.
Mike helped Shahid learn the dance moves for his upcoming Ken Gosh’s directed
movie, ‘Yahoo’.

By now we all know that Ace Hollywood choreographer Marty was in India recently
to choreograph a song for Shahid Kapoor for his upcoming Ken Gosh’s directed
movie, ‘Yahoo’. Mike, Marty’s main dancer was also in Mumbai, who helped Shahid
learn his moves. Both Mike and Shahid would aggressively rehearse at Ajivan
Hall, Juhu to make the dance moves perfect and also got along well.

When Mike was to return back to his home, Shahid played a perfect host and
gifted Mike a whole new line of luggage as a farewell gift. Source

Shahid Kapoor has been linked to many actresses and this time around it’s
Jiah Khan who’s made the news in Shahid’s life. Well, before you reach the
conclusion that Jiah is the new lady in Shahid’s life, let us clear the air. We
are only talking about director Ken Ghosh’s upcoming film Yahoo. Interestingly,
Shahid who is known to be one of the best dancers in Bollywood will be seen
playing Jiah’s student in the film.

This is for the first time that Jiah and Shahid are paired opposite each other.
The film is based on dancing and Shahid portrays a passionate dancer with Jiah
playing his dance guru.

Jiah admits, "Yes I play a choreographer in this beautiful love story. Shahid is
like an institute of dance by himself and in this film I am teaching him how to
dance." This is something hard to believe but yes, Shahid will be seen learning

The chocolate hero Shahid Kapoor is working extremely hard these daysfor his upcoming film Kaminey directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, opposite Rani Mukerji and his dance film for Ken Gosh tentatively titled Yahoo. He is so busy that his long awaited project with his dad, well known actor Pankaj Kapoor, in the director’s chair has had to be pushed back.

“My film will be delayed as my son is extremely busy with his other films. He is working on Kaminey, a Yash Raj film and Pathshala. As these films’ schedules have been extended, my film has been pushed to mid 2009. I am planning to get the film on the floors before May 2009.”

In other Shahid filmi news, as everyone knows Shahid is a fabulous dancer and his film, Yahoo, has him playing a dancer who wants to make it big. Interestingly, Shahid will be performing a new style of dance in the film called Krumping. Krumping is a hip-hop/street style of dance that originated in South Central LA. It is very aggressive style with lots of energy and emotion. Marty Kudelka, who has choreographed for Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, is doing the choreography for the film. Source

Shahid Kapoor’s new film ‘Paathshala‘ has been one of the most awaited film and is creating a buzz around the fans. It also stars Ayesha Takia and Nana Patekar. The film is directed by award winning Marathi film director Milind Ukey.

We all know that Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are doing a film together but what you need to know is that now both have started spending quality time with each other at their homes which is quite adjacent.

A source from Yari Road reveals, “She stays on the eighth floor in the ‘B’ wing and Shahid stays in the ‘A’ wing on the 11th floor. They leave together for the sets of their upcoming film and some days, they even leave in a single car while the other one tags along empty.”

The source continues, “Previously, the frequent visitors to Shahid’s home were his earlier hook ups Vidya Balan and Sania Mirza. And now it’s Piggy Chops. But Priyanka is still very much with Harman. Shahid and Ms Chopra are very fond of each other but there’s no love story here.”
 
Apart from spending time at home, they also go out for dinner. On and off the set, both seems enjoying each other’s company to the fullest. After Shahid walked out of the relationship with Bebo, he is entangled with Vidya and Sania too but failed to continue with anyone of them. Director Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay shoot had to be cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday night because of the serial blasts. The director says, “We were shooting a traffic jam scene for Kaminey at Horniman Circle, which is a couple of minutes away from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).

We crossed CST at 9.45 pm and headed for the circle. While the men were putting up the lights, we heard firing and explosions close by. We decided to cancel the shoot immediately around 10.30 pm and head home.” According to Vishal, his leading actor Shahid Kapoor had reached the shoot by then. “Shahid left a little ahead of me.

It was a war-like situation on the streets of Mumbai. As we reached Marine Drive there were lots of police vehicles with guns pointed at us. It was terrifying!” As Vishal and Shahid crossed Marine Drive and Girgaum Chowpatty they heard firing behind them. Vishal says, “I could feel something was going to happen at Marine Drive. Later, when I reached home, I heard a couple of terrorists got killed at Girgaum. Again we got saved…”

Vishal reached home around 2 am. “There were policemen with guns everywhere. It was scary! I have seen check- posts but not police aiming guns at all the cars. We have shot such scenes in films but watching it live is something else altogether. At one check naka, they stopped my car and started asking all sorts of questions.

I had to take out my ID card and one of the police officers recognised me and let me go,” Vishal shudders with relief. We had a unit of almost 300 people and 50 cars as it was a traffic jam sequence with lots of cars and everyone was packed off home. Fortunately, each and every unit member reached home safely. My wife Rekha was to join us on the shoot but had to cancel her plans. We are all lucky that we got saved. Source

Hot Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has said that she still regards her former lover Shahid Kapur very much part of her life.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, Bebo as she is affectionately known says, “Whatever went wrong between Shahid and me is very personal. I have always maintained that Shahid will always be part of my life. But, we are better off as friends. There is no animosity.”

Kareena then further went on to state, “Sometimes there are no reasons for things, which happen in life. Even if there is one, I do not think it is right to talk about it openly.”

Shahid Kapoor was very much surprised to see his fan following in Pakistan. The actor, who was always under the impression that in a conservative country like Pakistan, his fan base would be bare minimum and that very few people would be familiar with him and his body of work, was pleasantly surprised when a huge crowd from across the border came to see him on the sets of his latest film at the Wagah border.

A friend of the actor said, “Shahid could not believe that he was so popular in Pakistan. People had come in droves to meet him.” Being sensitive, Shahid made it a point to interact with the people who had taken the trouble and the risk just to watch him in action.

“Shahid was moved by the response that the crowd was giving him. They hook hands with him. Some clicked pictures with him. They told him how much they loved him in Jab We Met.”

After three back to back hits, Vivaah, Jab We Met and Kismat Konnection, it looks like Shahid is finally going places and this new Yashraj Films venture may just help him on his path to glory. Source
 

Tennis star Sania Mirza has dumped Kareena’s ex-flame Shahid Kapur for a Telugu actor called Navdeep Pallapolu. Sania, who till a few days back was seen dropping in at Shahid’s film set every now and then, seems to have had enough of the chocolate boy and after dating him for a while has moved on to a Hyderabadi instead.

According to reports, Sania has said that Navdeep is just a ‘good friend’, as if we don’t know what it means to be a ‘good friend’ these days. Navdeep is apparently a hot property in Hyderabad and has worked in numerous Telugu and Tamil movies. As for Sania, don’t know for how long this liaison is going to last.

In the meanwhile, it is believed that Shahid is finding solace in work. Industry insiders suggest that he is okay with the fact that Sania has found someone else as he had just befriended Sania to get over Kareena and knew from before that the relationship won’t last for long.

While he shares little known facts about his early days in the world of glitz and glamour, he also reasons that there has to be a line drawn between personal and professional life.

- One of the early incidents that Shahid narrates on the show is set in the time when he was working with Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe. Shah Rukh Khan once dropped in at a show and on seeing Shahid, he immediately questioned Shiamak if he didn’t feed his troupe members well. Reason behind the question? Shahid was quite thin and lanky in his early days and was nowhere close to as well built as he is today.
