After playing a RAW Agent in his last released Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan is donning a new avatar in his forthcoming Kick. The flick is a remake of a Telugu blockbuster. Since its announcement the movie has been grabbing everyone’s attention due to various reasons.

While Salman is slated to play a thief, Suniel will essay a cop out to nab him.

The storyline will also have both the male protagonists vying for the attention of the same girl (Sonakshi Sinha).

As source added, “Suniel is very apt for this role as he and Salman belong to the same age bracket. Both actors are super fit and can play younger men on the big screen.” Although nothing has been officially declared as of now and a final word is yet to come!

Suniel Shetty turns 50 on August 11. On Sunday night, the actor left for the US.

He wants to celebrate the birthday with his close family members based in America, and also with Athiya, his daughter who is studying in the US.

But just before he left, the actor had a special gesture to make. He called one of his ardent fans Suresh Sharma from Uttarakhand.

Recently Suniel Shetty shared screen space with Sanjay Dutt in NO PROBLEM. Even before this comic affair, the duo has collaborated on number of films both in front and behind the camera. In an industry where the biggest of bonds break in a matter of months, Suniel Shetty reaffirms that his loyalties with Sanju baba are going to be intact.

“Sanju and I have been together for way too long for us to be any doubtful about how future would look. I have made it quite clear in the past as well that my loyalties lie with him,” says Suniel Shetty who didn’t think twice before parting ways from film maker Sanjay Gupta when the latter had an issue with Dutt. 

As a result of this tussle, things strained between Shetty and Gupta. The issue reached its peak when Gupta ripped apart MISSION ISTANBUL – a film which was produced by the former – as well as its director Apoorva Lakhia. Ever since then, the duo hasn’t worked together as battle lines have been drawn with Shetty clearly aligning himself with Dutt.

“I could have been cordial with Gups (Sanjay Gupta) as well had it not trashed my film even before it went on floors. If he had a problem with Dutt and Lakhia, he could have spoken with them but he didn’t do that,” says Shetty, “Meanwhile I continue to stick to Sanju not because he is a star but because of the kind of relationship that I share with him and his wife Maanyata. The members of the Credit Service Providers Association (CSPA) fears that their job is being presented in a very shoddy way in the forthcoming film ‘EMI’ and they also have strong objection in the way the character played by Sanjay Dutt is being called as “Bhai” and want it removed from the film.

So they wrote a letter to the producer of the film Suneil Shetty expressing their concerns and a demand to watch the film before it gets to the cinema halls. But Suneil Shetty just ignored the demands of the association.

He says that the character played by Sanjay Dutt is a very positive one which will be liked by all and will not turn out to be a bad representation of the job of the recovery agents.

Suneil also made it very clear that he is not going to exhibit ‘EMI’ to any members of the association as the censor board has already given a green signal and there is no need for another group to scrutinize and give their opinions. Source

All were shocked when Vipul Shah managed to get the alleged rivals Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar together for his film Singh Is Kinng . It may have been a casting coup of sorts, if their rivalry was for real. But Akshay didn’t think there was even a spark of truth in this tittle-tattle. “If we really didn’t get along, then why should he co-produce a film like Bhagam Bhaag , or even cast me in it? There’s no problem between us.” However, the majority just don’t seem to believe this. And rumours of their enmity are still rife.
