After Esha Gupta had her movie Jannat 2 released, she is getting ready for Raaz 3D, which is her second movie, with Bipasha Basu, who is an established female actor in bollywood. But Esha is not concerned for Bipasha’s presence in the film and hopes to get a special place for herself.

“I was initially worried to take up the project. People were telling me not to opt for ‘Chakravyuh’ because it wasn’t a glamorous character. But I took it as a challenge and believed in Prakash sir, who has given a new height to the career of Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone through his films,” Esha told PTI.

The Raaz 3, actress, who will next be seen doing an item number in Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, says it is her self-belief and family support that made the journey easier. She said, “I believe in myself and that’s why I take criticism. You need to be very strong to survive in Bollywood. If someone calls me a bad actress, I won’t live with it but will work towards improving myself. You need a strong family because at the end, they will love you and support you unconditionally. Luckily, I have my dad, mom and sister. Initially my father opposed the idea of joining films and did not want me to move out but now I’m closest to him and have his full support.”

The film, which revolves around the naxal problem, will make its world premiere at the 56th London Film Festival on October 10 ahead of its release on October 24.

She may have been a part of the film industry for 12 years but Bipasha Basu feels that there are hardly any scripts that offer meaty roles to the heroines. Except Vidya Balan, as Bipasha Basu points out.

She doesn’t understand the tendency as to why they never provide an actress a role which can boast of great caliber. However, she kept Vidya Balan as an exception here. “With an exception of Vidya Balan, I don’t know if any actress or any of my contemporaries who can boast of great films they have done. It could be a Rs 100 crore film but I don’t know what content there is for a girl to do,” said Bipasha who is promoting her upcoming horror film Aatma these days.

Speaking on the subject of her upcoming film Aatma opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bipasha said, “I think each of us are talented but we don’t have projects to showcase our talent. So if a horror film is giving me that platform, why should I not take up the project? We write really bad roles for women.”

Bipasha, who recently was titled as the horror film specialist says she has been getting too many horror film offers lately. “I get an offer of ten horror films per week. May be I should become a horror specialist. I need to do something new soon.”

Even after a decade, the Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu starrer tops the charts and happens to be a favorite of masses. Critics may have not liked “Raaz 3″ too much, but Dino Morea is confident that Bipasha Basu will sweep all the awards next year.

It is to note that during Raaz, the two were very much in love only to part ways later on. But still they are good buddies and hold great respect for each other. And this was revealed when Dino was heard praising Bipasha for her fab act in Raaz 3, co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta. Actor- producer Dino Morea stated, “One thing I can say that Bipasha will win all the awards next year. I got really scared, it’s a nice film. It has been shot really well, quite scary. Audiences’ reactions were very good”.

The story of ‘Raaz 3′ revolves around Shanaya Shekhar (Bipasha Basu), a bollywood actress enjoying the peak of her success in the industry. But the twists start for her after the entry of a new actress Sanjana (Esha Gupta), who slowly overshadows the dominance of Shanaya in Bollywood. This thing is proved to Shanaya when Sanjana receives the best actress award beating her.

Now, its very difficult to Shanaya to digest her loss and eventually she looses her temperament that develops a thinking in her mind that god has never done her anything right. So to take her revenge she turns to the darker sides and takes the help of the evil spirit (Manish Choudhary) who gives her some water encoded with some black magic that will diminish the success of Sanjana by making her mentally ill.

Vikram Bhatt has mastered the art of sending a shudder down your vertebrae. Writer Shagufta Rafique amalgamates vendetta, jealousy, conflict, drama and sexuality to create a chilling saga.

It’s very infrequent that a Hindi film heroine gets to illustrate such a commanding character and Bipasha seizes the opportunity with both her hands, coming up with a bravura act. Her audacious scenes, unabashed approach and oozing sex appeal set the screen aflame. Enacting the role of an actress whose career is on a downslide, Bipasha gets the character accurate. RAAZ was a turning point in her career and RAAZ 3 should mark the commencement of a fresh phase for this gifted actress.

Bipasha Basu does not mind being known for her sexy looks and seductive husky voice but the actress says she is done being just an eye candy and wants to do meatier roles. The 33-year-old said that from now on she wants to star in films which will earn her the respect as an actor.

She recently said that she is well aware she looks good and also adore the regular adjectives that come her way- sexy, hot, dusky, bong bombshell, etc. “It is going to stay with me. But I am done looking pretty. Now, I want meaty roles. I want to do entertaining films, where a woman gets the respect of being an actor. All my colleagues are trying to move away from that.

After all how long can you be an eye candy? I love being an eye candy. I know am an eye candy. But then what. I want to move a little bit deeper,” she said.

The model-turned-actress has starred in commercial films like No Entry, Phir Hera Pheri, Dhoom 2, Race as well as off-beat films like Corporate, Omkara, Shob Charitro Kalponik.

Esha Gupta is just one film old in Bollywood, but she is all set to push the envelop when it comes to bold scenes. The hot and sultry actress claims that her co-star Emraan Hashmi is a friend and there were no inhibitions about kissing scenes with the actor.

Esha shares the screen space with serial kisser even in her second film and about the same, she says, “I am lucky that I am working with Emraan again as it gives me experience and comfort. I became an Emraan Hashmi fan after Zeher. I remember, I wasn’t allowed to go to theatres, so I saw that film at home. That time I realized that he is a good actor. For me it was always Emraan Hashmi, the actor.”

“Now, almost everyone kisses in a film. We have seen Deepika and Saif, Ranbir and Nargis. Kissing is not such a big deal, but its just Emraan, who has got the tag of serial kisser. I was not at all nervous while kissing him. We treated those scenes just like any other scene,” adds the actress.

Bong Beauty Bipasha Basu is known for her fitness and strict diet regimes. However the actress has taken us by surprise as we hear that she couldn’t help herself from gorging on authentic Bengali food.

During the shoot of the upcoming thriller Aatma, shot at Filmalaya Studios, the actress came across multi cuisine and she went out of her way and ordered Bengali food on the sets of the movie. The film is a psychological thriller directed by Suparn Verma and also stars Gangs of Wasseypur fame Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

A source from the sets said, “Bipasha is a fish lover and yesterday she called for some delicious Bengali food for her and the entire crew from the very famous Bengali restaurant ‘Bhojohari Manna’ in Oshiwara. And once the gourmet food was on the sets you can only imagine what must have happened! The entire unit went crazy over the yummy delicacies and it was a feast of sorts on the sets since there was so much food ranging from fish to prawns and also mishti doi and rasogullas.”
