Race 2 was Considered to be one of the most awaited sequels of 2013 after the Super Success of Race . While the starcast got changed from Race , the Movie hasn’t changed much either with respect to the script . Men in white Abbas – Mastan directed some mindblowing action scenes to look out for in Various parts of the World .

Race 2 starts off from where RACE concluded. Ranveer [Saif Ali Khan] decides to avenge the death of his fiancée Sonia [Bipasha Basu] and for that he travels to Turkey, where he encounters some new people in this journey [John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel], besides some people he had encountered earlier [Anil Kapoor].

Ranveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) is the slick con artist, a continuation of his character from the original film. Race 2 is a new chapter of thrills and chills in his exciting life that we, the audience are a part of. His agenda, his enemies are unknown in the first few reels of the film, and reveal themselves to us through the celluloid ride. RD (Anil Kapoor) also reprises his blooming buffoon character from the original, but whoever was writing the dialogues for him was on another planet, separate from the cool edge of Race 2.

The double entendres in all his lines, in his fruit chomping avatar, are embarrassing and not funny at all. He’s eating a new fruit in every scene, almost like he’s endorsing fruits for a living, and utters lines like “I am not ready to pop your cherry” and such throughout. And Cherry (Ameesha Patel) who plays his bimbo assistant is simply ridiculous in her enactment of naiveté or whatever it is she is trying to do. Anil of course being a stellar actor, looks believable in the part, but is completely bereft of his stature as an international star in this role, a waste of his talent in my opinion.

With double pack of action, thrill, suspense and romance, the sequel of Race is a sheer extravagancy of stars like Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Ameesha Patel and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film, which is set to hit the theatres on 25 January, is making its actor to put their extra foot in marketing and promoting film nationally and internationally.

According to source the entire team of Race 2 is marching forward to launch Race 2 in Dubai along with producers Jaykumar Parsram and Varsha Ramesh, directors Gulam Abbas Alibhoy and Mustansir Alibhoy. “All the team members of Race 2 will share the stage with the stars and interact with the audience in Dubai”, added source.

This time the film is set to double the joyride action adventure that begins with Ranvir (Saif Ali Khan) brooding over his fiancée Sonia’s (Bipasha Basu) death.

Leggy lass of the town Deepika Padukone is celebrating her birthday in a quiet manner today i.e. January 5, 2013. She is going to be with her parents and her sister Aneesha, who will fly down from Bangalore to Mumbai for the day.

Padukone will be spending the entire day with her family and close friends. At night, she is expected to resume shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film RAM LEELA with Ranveer Singh.

Deepika Padukone says the action-packed ” Race 2″ also has dollops of glamour, and says shooting for it has been a great experience. “It has been great. ‘Race 2′ has been a wonderful journey for me. I am very proud of it. The movie is an action thriller, but it also has a lot of glamour. The first film of the franchise did well too,” Deepika said at an event. The actress says the movie is important to her, and she will readily devote adequate time to its promotions. “‘Race 2′ is very important to me, and even its promotion is very important as well,” she said. Deepika says she shares a good camaraderie with her “Race 2″ co-actors; Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham. “Saif and I have worked before so that comfort level comes. The same is true for John too,” she said.

About her beauty secrets, the actress says she often uses natural tricks to make her skin look beautiful. “I believe that less is more. So a healthy diet, drinking lots of water and adequate sleep really helps. All these things reflect positively on your skin,” she said. Talking about brand endorsements, she said that she ensures that every brand she decides to endorse is an extension of her personality. “I believe that every brand which I endorse has to be an extension of my personality and it has to come naturally,” she said.

Its best business was from Mumbai, city, Delhi NCR, Chandigarh Pune and Bangalore. But collections were low side from single screens.

Cocktail movie, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Daina Penty released this friday and got good response from the audiences. The movie had a good first day as it collected around 10.78 crore nett on day one. The film was well in Mumbai city, Delhi city, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Pune and Bangalore.

It is said that Saif can do romantic comedy well as he as shoen it in Love Aaj Kal, and when the same couple is there, i.e. deepika as well then it will make it big. Cocktail is a debut movie for model turned actress Daina Penty who has also performed well onscreen.

The occupancies at multiplexes were great though single screen business was average and the release in single screens was also limited as Bol Bachchan retained the best single screens across the country.

Saif Ali Khan‘s newly released movie Cocktail, starring Saif, Deepika Padukone and Daina Penty has got mixed reviews throughout India. Some audiences have liked the movie very much while the others havn’t liked it at all. Even then the movie has managed to gather 15 to 18 crore in its first weekend.

Saif Ali Khan, is now busy with his new project which will be under his home production. His upcoming movie is Go Goa Gone which will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The movie starrs Saif, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Pooja Gupta.
