Here comes the news. Kareena Kapoor is all set to tie the knot. The actress, who has been in a serious relationship with Saif Ali Khan, has stated that she is very committed to the idea of marriage and will get hitched after a year.

Unwilling to divulge any details, the Kapoor lass went on record to confirm that the “wedding will happen, but after a year”.

Talking to a news daily about her marriage plans, Kareena Said, “Of course, I talk to Saif and my family. Saif is extremely supporting and he jokes that marriage is a taboo in our film industry. Surely, there are norms that we can break but the fact is that the film fraternity considers a married actress a taboo.”

As to whether the marriage will be in the year 2011 or 2012, Kareena said, “Saif is so busy with his production and his films, so a wedding will happen but after a year maybe. Yes, probably the year when the world is supposed to end. But yes, I won’t deny the fact that I think about it.”

The beautiful Aishwarya Rai was under considerable pressure to appear on TV reality shows to promote her films ‘Action Replayy’ and ‘Guzaarish’. The lady who did make an appearance on Akshay Kumar’s show, ‘Mater Chef India’ is very clear in her head that she will not use TV shows to promote her films and even otherwise.
 
Talking to a news daily, an insider revealed, “There was considerable pressure on Aishwarya to be on these reality shows for her two back-to-back releases. But she is very clear about her dos and don`ts. Being on reality is a complete no-no for her. She did make an exception for Akshay`s ‘Master Chef’. But no song and dance reality shows for Aishwarya. And no game shows. Two weeks ago she stayed away from ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ as part of the promotion for ‘Action Replayy’. This week Aishwarya refused to go on the popular music contest ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Hrithik Roshan had to go alone.” 

The muse of ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali did make it to Dubai to promote her film with Hrithik Roshan but did not accompany him to the sets of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Defending her reservations, the filmmaker said, “I completely respect her decision because I know she is not doing it as a fashion statement. Aishwarya truly believes in whatever she does. Bikini bomb Bipasha Basu is all set to make her mark in the west too. She is all set to star opposite Hollywood heartthrob Josh Hartnett in her first Hollywood film titled Singularity.

Singularity is a passionate love story, set against the backdrop of the first Anglo-Maratha war, about an Indian bodyguard, played by Bipasha, and a British soldier, played by Josh Hartnett. Expect there to be romantic scenes between Bipasha and Josh Hartnett, and Bipasha says she has no problem with that, “If I can do kissing scenes in India then why not for a Hollywood film?”

The film will not only see Bipasha play a romantic lead but will require the actress to do a variety of stunts including horse riding, deep sea diving, and fencing. The actress has already started preparations for her new Hollywood movie and is keeping her fans updated on the social networking site twitter; the star tweeted “My prep for singularity was super fun! Horse riding, underwater swimming, rehearsals n discussions with d cast, working on my look! Great team!”

The movie was originally titled The Invaders and had as part of its cast Brendon Fraser, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi. However, that was shelved and now Abhay Deol is also set to star in the film alongside international stars such as Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Shane Briant, Christopher Egan and Chris Pine. More

Bollywood’s ultimate beauty Katrina Kaif will be seen in ‘New York’ director Kabir Khan’s next. It is learned that Kabir has roped in Katrina for the project; the other details are still to be finalized.

Katrina Kaif has earlier worked with Kabir Khan in ‘New York’ along with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The movie fared reasonably well at the B.O.

Kabir was busy writing the script for Yash Raj for quite some time and a close hand reveals that he had Katrina in his mind right from the beginning. In fact Kabir was in talks with Katrina for the last five six months for this film.

However, no official announcement has been made and even Kabir is tight lipped on this, but highly placed sources confirm this development and inform us that the Katrina is definitely on and the movie goes on floors by March 2011. Source

Famous costume desiger Rocky S., who has been a friend of actress Bipasha Basu for over a decade, says he wants to dress up the Bengali beauty when she ties the knot.

‘My focus at the moment is to see Bipasha married. I defienetely know it is nowhere on the scene and there is a long way to go but the day she gets married, I want to dress her up for her big day. She is the woman whom I would want to dress up,’ Rocky S., who showcased his bridal collection at AZA here Thursday, told IANS.

The collection, which drew inspiration from Rajasthani and Turkish designs, included lehengas, sarees, and churidar kurtas threaded with silk, jacquard, chiffon, georgette, soft satin and crepe.

‘My collection focuses not only the brides but also the entire family for whom it is equally a gala affair to get dressed up for a special occasion. The bling in the dresses has been subdued and the colors have been choosen accordingly,’ he added.

‘The embroidered sequins, bootis, gotas, antique gold and exquisite broaches have been used to add the value to the attire.’

A 24-year-old man from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh who appeared on a reality show featuring Rakhi Sawant was so upset by the reportedly ‘indecent remarks’ made against him by the Bollywood item girl that he stopped eating and died, his family alleged Thursday.

Laksham Prasad, a resident of Jhansi’s Prem Nagar town, was upset after Rakhi termed him ‘impotent’ on her reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’. He died on Wednesday, his family alleged Thursday.

According to Prasad’s mother Savitri Ahirwal, Sawant had termed her son ‘impotent’ while trying to settle the dispute between him and his wife on the reality show.

‘My son was so upset with the indecent remarks that he stopped meeting any outsiders or neighbours, who used to laugh at him referring to the remarks by Rakhi Sawant…They (neighbours) had seen the show and how that girl (Sawant) referred to my son as ‘namard and napunsak’ (impotent),” Ahirwal told reporters Thursday, a day after Prasad died.

‘Upset over the remarks, my son went into acute depression and even stopped eating food… He gradually became weak and frail and ultimately died yesterday… No one other than Rakhi Sawant is responsible for the untimely death of my son,” she added. More

Rohit Shetty-directed laugh riot ‘Golmaal 3′ has hit the jackpot this Diwali by earning Rs.70 crore worldwide in its initial weekend. Produced by Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and distributed by Eros International, the third instalment in the ‘Golmaal’ franchise triumphed at the box office with a gross collection of Rs.60 crore in India and Rs.10 crore overseas, in its first three days of screening. The actress explains her man’s absence by her side, “Saif was away attending his school friend’s wedding in London. So I decided to party the night away with the Golmaal team at Tusshar’s place.”

Comparing it with the times she is out with Saif, the Kapoor gal said, “We do tend to get self-conscious of our image when we’re out together. But when I was alone on Diwali night with my friends, it was a different experience.”

Incidentally, the Chhote Nawab is yet to see Golmaal 3. After Golmaal 2, Kareena was reluctant to do the third part, but her Omkara co-star insisted she do the film. More
