Rani Mukherjee has finally given an answer to her critics who were in tearing hurry to label her chapter closed in bollywood. With NO ONE KILLED JESSICA getting an upbeat response from the audiences, Rani is hogging the spotlight once again.
The success of the film has made Rani more forthcoming with the media too. Some time back, Rani used to shudder with fear about media being on an overdrive to fathom the truth surrounding her personal and professional life.
Now, it’s a different story. Rani is upbeat about her professional life and loves to share a slice of it often.
Speaking about her personal and professional life in one breath, Rani says, “The success of NO ONE KILLED JESSICA is my answer to critics who thought my career was over. Not only my professional life but my personal life is witnessing a high too. To be honest, I look better than my twenties now. I’m being honest about this. Growing in age has never bothered me. I have just entered my thirties and I think I’m set for the best years of my life.” More

Rani Mukherjee’s last three films – DIL BOLE HADIPPA, THODA PYAAR THODA MAGIC, LAAGA CHUNRI MAIN DAAG, despite coming from a banner like Yash Raj Films, were duds. Now, the bold & beautiful, Rani is back in news with her upcoming film NO ONE KILLED JESSICA and all hopes are pinned on her latest film.
It is being touted that NO ONE KILLED JESSICA will help resurrecting Rani’s fading career. However, Rani gets agitated with such reports, “When everybody says Rani Mukherjee is finished I feel bad but at the same time I feel happy that now I can bounce back.”
She says that no one can make or break her position in the industry.
“My career is already made so I don’t think anyone can break or make my career. It’s my fans who decide to make me the star that I am. It’s because of them I am here. I don’t think any one person from the media can be responsible to make or break me. The only thing that can break me ever is when the love of my audiences will not be with me anymore or the fact that audiences don’t want to see me anymore,” says the optimistic actress.
Well Rani, we are hopeful that NO ONE KILLED JESSICA will shut all those wagging tongues when the film releases on 7th January 2010. Source

It might come as a surprise but Rani Mukerji has walked out of Deepa Mehta’s film, an adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s masterpiece novel Midnight’s Children, because she apparently didn’t want to play the mother of a 14-year-old. That she happily played a mother of two kids in Yash Raj Films’ Ta Ra Rum Pum almost three years ago is another matter. A source says, “She asked Mehta that how she can play the mother of a 14-year old when she herself is just 30? She preferred to leave the film instead.”
Initially, Rani was quite excited about the idea of working with Mehta as it would have been the first time in her 13-year career that she would have worked with a female director. Reportedly, she had even met Rushdie and Mehta in Toronto for the same. Mehta confirmed that Rani is no longer in her film. She also said that Rani had informed her about the same. “Rani was required to play a mother in a section of the film, but there is no kid in the film who is 14 years old,” said the filmmaker.
However, Mehta dismissed the buzz that Rani turned her down because she didn’t want to play a teenager’s mother. She said, “Rani had some personal reasons for not doing the film. I cannot disclose the reasons because there are some things, which are confidential between a director and an actor. I have great regard for Rani and total respect for why she is not working with me in this film.” More

Well, If rumors are to be believed the former queen of Bollywood Rani Mukherjee, is contemplating to settle down with beau Aditya Chopra. Now rumor mongers have been speculating her marriage since a while but only this time around they are sure that the much awaited shaadi is on the cards soon.
Rani’s comeback movie ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!’ bombed at the box office giving gossip churners strong reasons that she will soon head to walk the aisle. As if all that was not enough, some insiders claim that Rani performed some kind of special puja this year at the Santacruz Durga Puja Pandal, which is being run by her family since years.
What’s new you might wonder? She does that every year, yes , she does, but this year Rani performed some rituals and puja done by women gearing up to get married soon. Rani Mukherjee is the most crest-fallen and heart broken actress now. Why? Well…her hopes and dreams have sunk more miserably than anything. After all, her Dil Bole Hadippa was supposed thrust her back to a position she had so dearly clutched all these years. It is heard that the lady has not taken the debacle well and has slipped into depression. Poor girl!
It seems all odds are against her. Far from being sympathetic towards the heart-broken lass, people are painting the tabloids with the stories of her unaccountability on the sets. You see…industry always salutes the rising sun, Rani! The people who had once raved about her performance are now silently murmuring against her by staying anonymous. An actress who had acted with Rani in Lagaa Chunri Mei Daag said that Rani used to be very unprofessional on the sets. She never used to listen to director Pradeep Sarkar’s instructions. Every time he used to explain a plot, she would make faces giving the impression that she’s bored. Oh….do we here Rani crying, “media spreads rumours’? But here, media is saying nothing dear…these are your ‘friends’ who are spilling the beans. More
