The actress, who made a comeback after five years with Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap, has been signed to play the lead role in Shobhana 7 Nights, where she plays the character of a battered wife who finds solace in a younger man. Shobhana 7 Nights will be directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyaya, who earlier made Pankh starring Bipasha Basu and Maradona Rebello.

The film Shobhana 7 Nights, is about Bollywood’s struggling male actors, who turn to prostitution to earn an extra buck. Raveena plays a married 40-something columnist-author who is abused by her husband and finds solace in a young man who is one of the many strugglers in Bollywood. The boy becomes Raveena’s toy boy as he is trying to make ends meet.

The role of Raveena’s husband is going to be played by Rohit Roy and young boy with whom Raveena’s character gets into an intense relationship will be played by newcomer Amit Purohit. More

She has been missing from Bollywood for quite some time now, but soon the “mast-mast” girl Raveena Tandon will make a comeback on the big screen in a psychological thriller opposite Sanjay Dutt.

“Helloooooand goodmorning!! Signed an interesting film yesterday a psychological thriller, to be shot in July, called Alert! Sanjay Dutt, Anupam k (sic),” Raveena posted on her Twitter page on Tuesday.

Raveena and Sanjay had teamed opposite each other in 1994 film Aatish and the 36-year-old actress is excited to share screen space with him again.

“Will be good fun to work with Sanju again!! Just totally adore him! Directed by this young ad filmmaker from the south, Santosh! Love working with the new lot directors, bring a fresh approach, ideas to the table (sic),” she added. More

Raveena Tandon who is making a comeback to item songs with her number “Main Chandigarh di star” in Bbuddah … Hoga Terra Baap, doesn’t call it her comeback film.

“Comeback is a very overrated word. Whenever I do something after even a little gap people term it as a comeback. How many times will I make a comeback? I would prefer to call it a backdoor entry into films,” she said.

Raveena, who last had a release in 2006 with a film called Sandwich, has really shaped up and lost oodles of weight. She is known for her moves in item songs like “Tu cheez badi hai mast mast”, “Yeh raat” and “Shehar ki ladki”. But the actress maintains that her item song in Bbuddah… is not a typical item number.

‘The king of comedy’ Govinda, who in a recent media interaction in Delhi could not withhold raving about his co-stars Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon said, “I have done several films with Karishma and Raveena. The equation and tuning has been immensely great. Audience has always appreciated my pair with them, and I desire to work with them in future too.”

When I got a call to participate in an awareness event this week, I decided to go ahead and pledge donating my eyes as well.”
