Absolutely. This IPL, it’s been pretty hectic for me since there are so many members in all the teams whom I know so well. Dr Vijay Mallya, the owner of Team Bangalore, is related to my mother. I want to cheer for Team Chennai since Chennai is like my second home now. I am doing a lot of Tamil movies there and the South is a big market for me. Besides, Shilpa, Shamita and Raj are also very dear to me. They are great friends. In that sense, I am close to Team Jaipur. And then, there is Shah Rukh and Juhi. It’s been a tough time for Shah Rukh and Juhi and that’s the reason I decided to come down to Kolkata to cheer them on. I’m happy to be back in Kolkata. Now that I’ve become a vegetarian, I will really miss my rui machher jhol during this trip. 
 
But what did you do when Team Jaipur played against Team Chennai? Where did your loyalties lie then?
I don’t go for such matches when two teams, whose owners I know so well, are playing against each other. Obviously, it’s difficult for me to take sides if I am at the stadium. During such matches, I stay back at home and just say may the best team win. More

Priyadarshan has signed in sizzling beauty Sameera Reddy for his untitled flick. But the lass will be in it only for an item song. The song is said to be more hot and sexier than Bipasha’s ‘Beedi‘ song of ‘Omkara’.

Producer Kumar Mangat said to sources, “The decision on whom to cast for the song was the call of the director. Sameera’s song Teri Issaq will be a bigger hit than Beedi Jalai Le in Priyan’s film which is an action-thriller. It’s been shot partly in a haveli and part set. Priyan is extremely charged up about this film which is based on a report in a newspaper on honour killings.”

Sources revealed that Priyan had made up his mind to cast the actress in this movie when he had seen Sameera performing in ‘De Dhana Dhan’. The actress has really worked on her body to get a slimmer and sexy figure for this item number. Sameera revealed,”“In Kumarji’s film, I will be doing a hardcore sexy folk number for the first time. It’s a rocking number composed by Priyan, sung by Bhojpuri singer Kalpana and choreographed by Kala Master – a top choreographer from the south. It’s like Shilpa’s Main aayee hoon UP-Bihar lootne with full on jhatkas and matkas. My hips move more than Shakira’s.” Source

Hey all you Sameera Reddy fans out there. Its a bad news for you all. Sameera has decided to quit Bollywood due to lack of appreciation. Sameera claims that in spite of delivering good number of hits like ‘Maine Dil Tujko Diya’, Darna Mana Hai’, ‘Musafir’, ‘Taxi No 9211’, ‘Race’ nobody appreciated her performance till date.

Sameera even panic that despite giving hits, she is workless. She has no films in her hand at the moment. She even justified her decision of leaving Bollywood saying that she has worked with topmost filmmakers of Bollywood like Abbas Mustan, Ram Gopal Varma, Sanjay Gupta but never got any accolades. What surprised Sameera the most is that nobody even criticized her acting. According to Sameera, if an actress does not receive good remarks for her performance than there is no reason to stick to it and it is better to quit.

Sameera is leaving Bollywood but she is not quitting acting altogether. South is the new address of Sameera as she will now try her luck in Tamil, Telegu and Malayalam films. Source

Last year’s IPL matches wasn’t all about cricket. On the sidelines was the blossoming romance between Sameera Reddy and the right arm fast bowler Ishant Sharma. According to a national newspaper, the two met during some of the IPL matches and hit it off very well. Sameera, however, denied the news.

We’ve heard that men love the chase but in this case, it was apparently the woman, who did all the chasing. Apparently, the south siren was so smitten by the cricketer at a fashion week party that she went out of her way to impress Sreesanth. Shriya Saran fussed over the cricketer and never left his side during the event.

Yuvi makes the list again — this time, with Deepika, who is now dating Ranbir Kapoor. What gave rise to the link-up rumours was that the two were seen together on a number of occasions during the India-Pakistan one-day series. Deepika also attended Yuvraj’s birthday party right after the India-Pakistan Test match in Bangalore.

The pretty 23-year-old actress Isha Sharvani, who acted in films like U Me Aur Hum and Luck By Chance, was reportedly dating the 30-year old left arm pace bowler Zaheer Khan for two years before calling it quits in 2007. Sameera Reddy Walks the Ramp Lakme Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2009 – Day 3. Bollywood star Sameera Reddy who was the show stopper added a touch of glamour to the all-men’s wear presentation.

Priyadarshan’s next comedy ‘De Dana Dan’ has been delayed because the prolific filmmaker wants to concentrate on the Darsheel Safary-starrer ‘Bam Bam Bhole’. The project, however, has an added member in actress Sameera Reddy.

‘De Dana Dan’ is not technically a sequel to ‘Hera Pheri’, but is a kind of follow-up that stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Suniel Shetty and Neha Dhupia.

Said Sameera: ‘I’ve never worked with Priyan before. But I think he liked my comic timing in ‘Race’ where I played Anil Kapoor’s airheaded assistant. That’s how I am in ‘De Dana Dan’ too. I’ve always been a big Priyan fan, by the way.’

Sameera’s enthusiasm, however, will have to wait. Priyan’s comedy has now been shifted from November 2008 to January 2009 because he is busy with ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ starring child actor Darsheel Safary of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ fame. Source

Bollywood sexy babe Sameera Reddy has been diagnosed with the sleep disorder somnambulism. Sameera confirms, “Yes I do walk in my sleep with my eyes open. I discovered I had it when I was a kid. It sounds funny and we laugh about it, but my parents have gone through sleepless nights. They have become light sleepers since they were always worried about me walking out of the house.”

She further adds, “We stay on the ninth floor and I used to walk in my sleep, towards the big windows in the hall. This frightened my parents so much that they ended up putting grills and started double-locking the windows. I took homeopathic treatment. I tried a lot for a cure but now I don’t want to do all of that. I am quite used to it and I normally tend to walk around only in my room, subconsciously.”

She shares, “People who aren’t aware of my sleepwalking get petrified. Once while I was shooting outdoor, in the middle of the night I woke up and was trying to break the door lock. It woke up all the cast and crew on the same floor, and they all wondered what I was up to. At another shoot, one night we all were having conversations about ghosts. Later that night, I started talking in my sleep, and it scared the pants off everyone around.”

Sameera now travels with a qualified assistant, who knows about the disorder, on all her shoots. Source

Amitabh Bachchan will be back with a bang this November with Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Juhi Chawla, Sameera Reddy and Jackie Fernandez. His forthcoming movie is a Sujoy Ghosh flick titled as Aladin and the Mystery of the Lamp. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen  playing Genius, the Genie where Ritesh will be the Aladin. The music is given by the duo Vishal & Shekhar. Currently the movie is in its production stage and is set to roll in the theatres on 21 November 2008.

If news are to be believed, Ayesha Takia was also a part of this project but due to some problems she had to make a cut out of the film. Director Sujoy Ghosh’s first film was Jhankar Beats which didn’t spread the magic of its beats too much. But we surely hope that this film will do a definite Jadoo in his career.
