Shilpa Shetty gave birth to a baby boy and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, says though people are already calling the newborn by various names, the couple have yet to decide on a name.

“People are calling him little Raj, someone is calling him baby K and various other names, but we have not given him any name yet,” said the 36-year-old while talking to reporters Tuesday for the first time after the birth of his son.

Shilpa and Raj tied the knot in 2009, and their first child was born May 21.

Raj said his mother-in-law, Sunanda Shetty, will finalise the alphabet.

“I have told my mother-in-law to pick an alphabet as she knows about astrology. So, whatever alphabet she gives us, we will decide the name accordingly,” Raj said.

As far as the celebrations go, Raj said: “For now, we will first go home when the doctors discharge Shilpa. She will rest first and then we will decide.” Source

Shilpa’s sister Shamita Shetty and friends Sameera Reddy, Manyata Dutt and Farah Khan were also present to shower their blessings on the prospective mother.

The baby shower was organised by Shilpa’s friend and business partner Kiran Bawa along with Shamita. It was held at Shilpa and her businessman husband Raj Kundra’s Mumbai residence in Juhu.

Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is expecting her first child with husband Raj Kundra in May, has started taking Lamaze classes and finds the exercise insightful and fun.

Lamaze is a technique that increases a mother’s confidence in her ability to give birth and help them understand how to cope with pain in ways that both facilitate labour and promote comfort.

“Started Lamaze classes with Dr Rita Shah. A must do, very insightful. Fun to work out with pregnant women all around. Quite a cute sight,” Shilpa Shetty posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The actress, who married London-based Kundra in 2009, announced her pregnancy in December last year and says she is enjoying all the love and attention she is getting these days.

“The best part of pregnancy is that everyone is so nice to you. So much love and pampering all around. Bad part everyone feeds you so much, phew,” Shilpa further tweeted. Source

Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is expecting her first child with husband Raj Kundra in May, is looking forward to cheer her Rajasthan Royals team in the new season of the Indian Premier League, though only with her doctor’s permission.

“It depends on my doctor actually. Nearer the time, I’ll be able to decide. I can’t wait for the (April-May) season to begin. I really hope my doctor gives me permission. My XXL size jersey is also coming, so I am fully prepared,” the 36-year-old said at the unveiling of her IPL team’s new jersey.

Shilpa Shetty is pregnant, at least if we are to believe the latest rumors. According to several sources the actress was seen at various clinics in the city.

If this news is true then one of Shilpa’s biggest dreams will come true: starting a family. The actress always wanted to start a family and be a mother. In 2009 the actress went to the extent to call her wish desperate. “I’m desperate to start a family. I just love children and we’ve a beautiful ready-made nursery in the new house. I want at least two children. There is already a child’s bedroom here because Raj has a nephew and I can certainly see my children running around this place. And there is enough space for us to live at one end while Raj’s parents live at the other.” And this was even before she was married.

A source confirms her pregnancy: “Shilpa is expecting and the couple is extremely happy. Only close family members and friends have been informed of the new arrival. Raj and Shilpa don’t want to announce it publicly before the first trimester passes.”

Shilpa Shetty spent her first wedding anniversary yesterday in Dubai with husband Raj Kundra at her new home on the ninetieth floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

Says a source close to the actress, “Shilpa was thrilled when Raj gifted her the luxury apartment. It’s his wedding anniversary gift to her.

He gifted her the keys in Mumbai a week ago. She had visited Dubai a few months ago, had loved the building and expressed a wish of staying there.

The couple has taken a three-day break to celebrate their first wedding anniversary there. Raj also has something else planned for Shilpa – a lavish dinner with a few surprises thrown in.”
