Sonakshi Sinha has been signed on to play the leading lady of Saif Ali Khan in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s next film ‘Bullet Raja‘ and the actress will be seen essaying a role of a Bengali girl in the film.
“Done with the first schedule of SOS, moving into Lootera today! Punjabi se Bengali…The journey has begun
” The actress tweeted on her micro blogging site. Ranveer Singh will be the male lead opposite her in the film. Rumours about Sonakshi and Ranveer’s off screen chemistry are doing the rounds for quite some time now.
Sonakshi Sinha, who credits most of her films to 100 crore club, is reportedly playing Bengali characters in two of her forthcoming films. “While she wasn’t required to speak the language in her period romance Lootera with Ranveer Singh, she was asked by another director to recite some lines in Bangla for her film with Saif Ali Khan.” Source from unit said that Sonakshi, who is very particular about her films and characters asked some Bengali crew members to help her learn the language.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s upcoming film Bullet Raja which stars Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the leads has the action hero Vidyut Jamwal making a special appearance.Vidyut who has made a name for his action sequences in Force opposite John Abraham, is now looking forward to Bullet Raja.Although Tigmanshu Dhulia’s new project Bullett Raja has an official action director Parvez Khan (who’s done heart-in-the-mouth stunts in Ra.One, Vishwaroop and Agent Vinod), it’s the new action-star Vidyut Jamwal who will compose his own stunts for the film.
Vidyut who steps into a doughty cop’s role that was to be played by Irrfan Khan would be making a very special appearance in the film. And the action-star will make his appearance as special as possible. Though he made a solo release as the leading man in the recently released Commando, Vidyut will be seen in a special action sequence for Bullet Raja. To make the two action scenes in which Vidyut comes, a special and an unforgettable one, the director has asked him Vidyut himself to choreograph the stunts.
Having trained in martial arts and a very good fighter who has the body to die for, the director has full confidence on Vidyut to give a hard hitting scene. Tigmanshu Dhulia told media, “Vidyut would have two action sequences in ‘Bullet Raja’ and he’d be composing the stunts. Vidyut knows his body and mind better than anyone else. He has been training in the martial arts since the age of 12. Who better to know how his character would deal with the combative crisis in the plot?”
We hear that Vidyut plays a cop in the film, which was earlier to be played by Irrfan Khan.

The gorgeous village-belle Sonakshi Sinha had done her first item track, ‘Thank God It’s Friday’ (TGIF), which is a retro disco song, in Himmatwala. The actress gave a sizzling performance in that, and is looking alluring in her glitzy and glittery look. However now it’s been heard, director Sajid Khan himself got on the dance floor to teach Sona the iconic Michael Jackson’s Moonwalk steps for the special song.
An informer says, “Sona is sizzling in the disco track Thank God it’s Friday, where she does the moonwalk. The actress grooves to the steps of the famous ’80s international pop icons like Michael Jackson and Madonna. Sajid himself got on the dance floor to teach her the iconic steps.”
Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani, Himmatwala is an official remake of the 1983 blockbuster of the same name. It features Ajay Devgn opposite Tamannaah in the lead roles.
Another source said, “Actually Sajid himself is a great dancer and during his college days he performed the moonwalk in several dance competitions. He decided to show Sonakshi how to perfect the moonwalk steps when she was doing it a bit differently. It looks perfect now.”

Call it a Son of Sardaar hangover, where Sonakshi Sinha was seen doing a bike stunt or simply a l’il bit of adventure spirit having rubbed off on her, thanks to her working with one action hero after another. But the actress has been making the most of her Goa shooting to explore that wild side.
The actress who has been shooting for Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again in Goa has found a new passion. That of riding bikes and on set sources reveal that whenever Sona has some time at hand, she vrooms around the city on a two-wheeler. “Sonakshi’s really comfortable with handling the bikes and is enjoying riding it around in the bylanes of Goa,” says the insider.

Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are currently in Kolkata for the shooting of their upcoming movie Bullet Raja. Reportedly, the stars are these days capturing the old-world charm of Kolkata with its Victorian era heritage structures, hand-pulled rickshaws and signature trams.
Led by director Tigmanshu Dhulia, the actors recently shot in the Dalhousie area of central Kolkata where the Dabangg actress rode a tram and a hand-pulled rickshaw. Saif sported a rustic look as he plays a kurta-clad gun-toting goon from Lucknow who follows his love to Kolkata. Sonakshi, who wore a bright red salwar, plays a Bengali girl in the thriller.
As per the reports, they are also shooting a song sequence in the city, in which Saif serenades Sonakshi in the narrow by-lanes of north Kolkata. Exploring the narrow lanes and bylanes and the grand old mansions of north Kolkata, the team will shoot in other locations such as Princep Ghat, Kumartuli, flower market and the famous Laha Bari.

Sonakshi Sinha, who is relatively new to the film industry and working hard to play long innings in showbiz, says she never tries to race ahead of her contemporaries. Her success mantra is “hard work” and “minding your own business”.
“I believe in healthy competition. I find certain actresses very good and fresh on screen like Deepika (Padukone), Anushka (Sharma) and Parineeti (Chopra). Everyone is here to do hard work and a good job. I don’t try to go ahead of them. I don’t think of it like that. I think minding your own business is the right way to go,” she said.
Needless to say, today she has carved a niche for herself and is loved by many for her unique style and screen presence. On being quizzed when did she first find herself to be pretty, she shared, “I didn’t realize it till I was about 21. Having always been on the heavier side, it never occurred to me that I was pretty. Whenever I looked in the mirror, all I saw was a fat girl. But it never bogged me down. I was confident. My interests lay in fashion designing”.
Speaking over how the detractors slam her generous form, she said, “I have faced this all my life. People have hardly referred to me by my name. They have called me moti, fatty, bhens (buffalo)… But it doesn’t bother me. Five people out of a hundred calling me overweight don’t get me less work. My weight’s perfect for my age, height and body type”.
In “Dabangg”, Sonakshi played a ‘desi’ girl who marries Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey and says that her character “will be more mature this time”.

After Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, actor Salman Khan has done it once again. Within six days of its release, Dabangg 2 has entered the Rs.100 crore-club with collections amounting to Rs.100.78 crore.Dabangg 2 is the sequel to the 2010 release Dabangg, which was set in a village and had the rustic, rural flavour of Uttar Pradesh. The story of the sequel has shifted to a posh metropolitan city.
Made under the banner of Arbaaz Khan Productions, Dabangg 2 has been written by Dilip Shukla. This is Arbaaz’s first film as a director. The film released in over 3,500 screens across India Dec 21.
This year has been very lucky for Salman. Kabir Khan-directed Ek Tha Tiger was an Eid release and set the cash registers ringing, but Dabangg 2 achieved this feat in spite of being a non-holiday release.
The film opened to a collection of Rs.21.10 crore and collected a whopping Rs.65.16 crore during the first three days.

It needed no soothsaying prowess to have proclaimed that the Arbaaz Khan directed Salman-Sonakshi starrer, DABANGG 2, would embark on a bumper start, but we were wrong as the opening was not bumper! The first day saw an earth shaking, rather globe shaking start for DABANGG 2, right from the morning shows.
Moreover, what is more heartening is the fact that unlike the last four major successes, JAB TAK HAI JAAN, SON OF SARDAAR, TALAASH and KHILADI 786, both the single screens (barring smaller centres of U.P.) as well as multiplexes saw a humongous response.
As of this moment, the first day (non-holiday) record of 15 crore has already been broken, rather bettered by about 6-7 crores, and DABANGG 2 has (in all probability) netted in excess of 22 crore from India. And the next record that the film is likely to break is for the opening weekend (3 days), and that too by about 10-15 crore!

The Delhi Police personnel, who have been appreciated for their bravery and meritorious services, will now get a chance of a lifetime to watch Dabangg 2 with none other than Salman Khan before the film’s release on Dec 21.
Sources say that Salman Khan, who will arrive in Delhi on Dec 18, will not only pay his tribute to police martyrs, but also will meet the relatives of the five policemen who died during the Dec 13, 2001, parliament attack.
Readers may recall that, earlier too, a special screening of Rowdy Rathore was held for Delhi Police’s SWAT (Special Weapon and Techniques) team with Akshay Kumar.

The most anticipated film of the year Dabangg 2 is just a few days away from release. The Salman Khan- Sonakshi Sinha starrer has been cleared by the Censor Board for Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A certificate which is surely good news for the makers of Dabangg 2 and fans of Salman Khan. The film has a final run time of 2 hours and 5 minutes and is slated to release on December 21 this year.

We have often heard of actress losing weight for lucrative offers but Sonakshi Sinha begs to differ. The Dabangg girl chose to opt out of an endorsement deal that required her to lose a few inches. Now it is heard that Deepika Padukone will apparently replace her.
This 5 feet 6 inch 23 years old damsel who has won million of hearts was never like this. From weighing 90 kg when she was student of fashion designing to a healthy 60 kg now she has a lost a whopping 30 kgs of weight.
“She is no more the brand ambassador. So, I can tell you for sure that she is not doing the new campaign. Her contract with the brand had expired and we have decided not to renew it. Hrithik is the other brand ambassador with Sonakshi. We don’t know whether he is still on board or not,” her spokesperson Bunty Sajdeh told the tabloid.
But rather than letting go of what she evidently thinks is her USP – her generous proportions – Sonakshi has decided to snap her ties with the brand instead. “She has decided not to do the campaign now,” said her spokesperson Bunty Sajdeh and mentioned that the decision was taken after a lot of deliberation and brain-storming.

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is all excited for the sequel to her grand Bollywood debut Dabangg wherein she will reprise her role with Salman Khan.
The 25-year-old tried some steps of the classical dance form while shooting for the song ‘Dagabaaz re’ from the movie.
“There is a sequence in the song where there are Kathakali dancers and when Sonakshi came to know about this, she got really excited! She is an actor who loves learning new things and, in fact, has even learnt some Kathakali and requested the dancers to teach her a few more steps,” said a source.
Arbaaz Khan is making his directorial debut with “Dabangg 2″, which stars his big brother Salman in the lead role. Sonakshi plays his wife.
A source disclosed and added, “There is a sequence in the song where there are Kathakali dancers and when Sonakshi came to know about this, she got really excited! She is an actor who loves learning new things and, in fact, has even learnt some Kathakali and requested the dancers to teach her a few more steps.”
