Director Mohit Suri has been dating actress Udita Goswami for some years now. The couple has had its ups and downs. But the duo has been together long enough to be sure that they want to spend their life together. Mohit is all set to get married to Udita, but on one condition. His film on racism in Australia Crook It’s Good To Be Bad becomes a success.
Absurd reason for a long-standing relationship to be solemnized? Not in this practical day and age.
Reasons Suri, “I need money to support the lifestyle Udita is used to. There’s no point in getting married and then thinking of practical matters. So yes, Crook has to be a success. The day it’s declared a hit, I’ll propose to her. Then the ball is in her court.” Apparently, Udita has been praying hard for the film to succeed. Strangely she was absent from the first screening of Crook on Wednesday night for friends and family.
Explains Suri, “The screening was for the cast and crew. Udita will watch the film soon.” Though Crook is about racism in Australia, Mohit is wary of the film being branded socio-politically purposeful. Considering the fate of political films like Rahul Dholakia’s Lamhaa, one can’t really blame Suri for wanting to get the film away from the political tag. Source
Udita Goswami is quite excited with the music video she has done for Jag Mohan Mundhra’s film CHASE along with Anuuj Saxena.
Her look has been copied from lady Gaga, an American pop Singer and she feels no one has done so before in India. She is wearing a long blonde wing and glares like Lady gaga.
On one side she enjoyed shooting for the title song music video as it is one of its kind but on other side the funniest part is that she can’t recognize herself and even her parents are not recognizing her and asking which one is she in the Video and the people who are aware that she is the heroine of the film are calling up and asking who is the girl in the blonde look and why Udita is not featured in music video of the title track? Recently it was heard from sexy Udita Goswami that she was busy shooting for a promotional title song for her yet to come film ‘Chase’, which co-stars Anuj Saxena, a television actor of Ekta Kapoor serials.
Apparently, the promotional title song ‘Get Set Go’ has bike sequences as well as sensuous sequence between Anuj and Udita. “My look is very different in this song, it’s a catchy number which will be on people’s lips when it is released,” says a hopeful Udita, who has had a string of flops in B-town ever since her first film ‘Paap’ released back in 2003.
Her co-star Anuj supports Udita’s statement and adds, “It’s a fantastic song and it has been shot nicely at the mills and I am sure it will be liked by masses.”
As the film is an out an out thriller, there seems less scope for Udita to perform and with a not so known supporting cast chances of ‘Chase’ being chased by the audience seems slim. The only saving grace here it seems is the director of the film Jag Mundhra who has earlier directed Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Provoked’. Source
The sexy actress Udita Goswami is on cloud nine these days. While other female actors are waiting for an opportunity to work with today’s Superstar–Akshay Kumar, Udita has bagged a role opposite him playing the lead in Helloo India.
The actress is playing his love interest in the film. She returned from a shooting schedule in Bangkok recently and is completely elated. “It was fun shooting with Akshay Kumar for the first time” says Udita.
Udita plays a London based Indian Journalist and will be singing love songs with Akshay in the film. The film is produced and directed by Shabnam Kapoor.
She is shooting for Jagmohan Mudra’s next release, the acclaimed maker of Provoked and Bhawandar alongwith Anujj Sawhney. She has also completed the shooting for Deepak Tijori’s film and Zee Telefilms Limited Fox with Sunny Deol and Arjun Rampal. Source
Udita Goswami had a good beginning with Pooja Bhatt directed PAAP where she had John Abraham for company. The film got her decent critical response and Bollywood was blessed with a new-age young woman.
However, Udita chose to play it slow and between 2004 till date, she has appeared in only four films as leading lady – PAAP, ZEHER, AKSAR and AGGAR. Except for AGGAR, each of her three films worked at different levels but Udita was still not seen on a signing spree.
“Well, I had a certain thought process around signing only those films which had me in a central role. However, this didn’t quite work because how many women-centric films are actually made today? Guess, I had to have a change in mindset and thankfully now I have revisited my priorities. Yes, I have become flexible in my choice of roles but am still particular about the banners I sign and people I work with.”
Is this the reason why she suddenly finds herself as a part of two Sunny Deol projects?
“Yes, I am working in FOX and THE MAN – both of which are action films with Sunny Deol in the lead. Both films give me a chance to do something that I haven’t done before. In one of the films I get to play a spy and have an intelligent look to me. I wear business suits along with specs and the role requires me to go much beyond just performing stunts”, reveals Udita.
“In another film I have a glamorous part to enact as I play the role of a publishing house owner”, informs Udita, “So you see I am required to carry off different personas and I am happy with the way my new innings has begun.” Source
Bollywood fine director Mohit Suri says his relationship with Udita Goswami is far from over and that they have just taken a break from each other. ‘I don’t know why this image of me as a Casanova is being splashed around. I’m very uncomfortable with it. I’ve been seeing Udita for four years now and I’m very much in love with her, ‘ Mohit told.
He’s directing Kangana Ranaut in ‘Raaz: Some Secrets Are Yet To Revealed’ in Shimla and there were rumours of a link-up between them. Mohit was quick to brush these aside. ‘Udita and I have taken a break from each other. I’m sure we’ll be together again. This is a crucial phase in our relationship. The last thing I need for Udita to hear is that I’m having an affair with someone else. Please, ‘ added the director of films like ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Awarapan’. Mohit admitted there have been problems between him and Udita because of his workload. And the rumours of an affair with Kangana don’t help either. ‘Kangana and I have known each other from the time she came into the industry. We’ve done a film together earlier. ‘Raaz’ is a difficult role because she plays a woman possessed. It’s her film all the way, ‘ clarified Mohit.
